And by "work," I mean get the overall economy into prosperous condition across the board.

To publish in scholarly publications you have to do an experiment and then replicate it to prove the theory. Reagan ran the first test and GWB ran the second. It fail both times. Time to admit 'trickle down' economic does not work.

Yet another thread whining about the rich

Hedge fund managers pay a lower tax rate than plumbers and teachers, and yet it's somehow unreasonable to expect them to pay their fair share. You bring up the same old cliche about "not working" as if those plumbers and teachers don't work very hard for their money. Why should professional investors pay only 15% in taxes when others who earn far less pay a higher percent? Oh, I forgot, plumbers and teachers are begging for handouts. Right.

how many hedge fund managers are there in the groups Obumble wants to tax more.

and those people pay far more actual tax dollars than 99% of americans. What exactly do they get in additional government BENEFITS?

and I oppose that scheme. They should be taxed on that as earned income-same as I do for billable hours as an attorney even if I am advising an IPO etc

It doesn't matter if there are 2 of them or 20 million. They should pay a reasonable tax rate, and 15 percent won't cut it when most of us pay far more than that.

If it didn't work the first five times, lets do it again!? "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." The trickling effect is really nothing more than false hopes and dreams sent down to working class.

actually most people do not pay more than 15%

but Obumble's plan hits far more than those few hedge fund managers

I have no problem with their fees being treated as earned income-the same as my billable hours

When my newborn baby was in nicu we had to pass a cpr class before taking her home. When we entered the class, the teacher was not there but all the parents were there waiting. 95% of the parents there were speaking to each other on how to cheat the system so they can get more government help like wic, medicare, etc. Not once did I hear anyone say they were looking for a job or how can they look for one...all I heard was how they can get more from the gov for free. Its a disgrace and we can thank the liberals for teaching that one demographic should live off another one
