I have a big party planned with a bunch of friends. We're gonna get a bunch of PBR, and then go up to Wyoming to get a **** ton of fireworks. We're splitting into two teams, and each team is making twin towers. Then as we drink our beer, we shall be throwing our fireworks at the opposing teams towers, the first team to knock them down wins.

But no...there won't be a terrorist attack. There will be lots of crap going on during football making it super annoying and ridiculous amounts of media coverage for an isolated event that happened 10 years ago; but most probably not a terrorist attack.

I expect there will be an attempt or two, but I feel doubtful that any major public attack will be successfully carried out. At least here in the U.S.

Nothing is going to happen. Their purpose is to sucker-punch when you're not expecting. People will be expecting on 9/11.

If another catastrophe is going to occur, it's going to happen on some mid-afternoon Tuesday in March when people are looking the other way.

Remember, we're still the big bad bully. You don't go toe to toe with the bully. You have someone crouch behind him so he trips and falls when he's not paying attention.

Sounds like fun, but kinda weird in a slightly un-patriotic kinda way lol.

On average, 40 people will get murdered during 9/11 and nobody will care. Its strange how terrorism frightens people so much despite being such a miniscule danger compared to the mundane . If you want to stay safe on 9/11, you should avoid the biggest threat to yourself by not driving.

If you ask me "Will there be any terrorist attack in the United States on [any given day]" my answer is no. And I'll give you at least 100-1 odds, provided we can agree on a reasonable definition of "terrorist attack." 9/11/11 is no different. I really don't buy this stuff that it's more likely to happen on that date than any other. That's media hype more than anything else. Terrorists certainly aren't going to think that way.

    Re: 9/11/11

I’m not expecting anything to happen 9/11, and as others have said it’d make much more sense to plan an attack on an off day when security is not as beefed up. Also, 9/11 is a Sunday so the high-casualty commuter targets created by the workweek will not be present.

On the other hand, I’m not too upset at the fact that I will be out of town on Sunday due to a wedding (I live in Chicago).

Many Americans may see my view as cold hearted or unpatriotic but with over 100,000 deaths per day globally, many which are under very bad circumstances, I just cant muster a dramatic emotional response to a few thousand more people I never knew dieing a particular day. Sure I wish it had not happened but I cannot understand some peoples very emotional responses simply because they were "American".

My kid was born on the 19th after the Sept 11th attacks.
Got bigger and better things to care about.

Fearing it won't stop it from happening, if it does.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

No, I'm not expecting it. That said, were we expecting it the first time?
If you strike me down, I'll become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
