What if the only job available was on a lower pay scale?
That's the issue here.

You've been unclear. You said that long-term use of pot causes "memory to fade" It doesn't. It causes a deterioration in the ability to form new memories. Your claim about fading memories implies an effect on long-term memory.
Long term use affects memory in a negative way.
That statement is correct. Your previous statement was incorrect
Long term use affects memory in a negative way.
I used a broad---correct---statement.
Got a source for that claim?
Not surprisingly, marijuana intoxication can cause distorted perceptions, impaired coordination, difficulty with thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory. Research has shown that, in chronic users, marijuana's adverse impact on learning and memory can last for days or weeks after the acute effects of the drug wear off. As a result, someone who smokes marijuana every day may be functioning at a suboptimal intellectual level all of the time.
Research into the effects of long-term cannabis use on the structure of the brain has yielded inconsistent results. It may be that the effects are too subtle for reliable detection by current techniques. A similar challenge arises in studies of the effects of chronic marijuana use on brain function. Brain imaging studies in chronic users tend to show some consistent alterations, but their connection to impaired cognitive functioning is far from clear. This uncertainty may stem from confounding factors such as other drug use, residual drug effects, or withdrawal symptoms in long-term chronic users.
That was your interpretation.
You assumed I meant long-term memory when I meant memory in general was affected by long-term use..
No, you said that long term us "causes memory to fade". It doesn't
You obviously don't understand what you just posted.
It doesn't say that long term use causes memory to fade. It says that there is no long-term effect on memory.
Meaning that the short-term memory is affected. Perhaps I wasn't specific enough but the point still stands.
How specific would you like to be in debate because being obscenely technical can be annoying at best for all involved.
Stop saying that I meant long-term memory. I never mentioned it.
Q: What does marijuana do to the brain?
A: Some studies show that when people have smoked large amounts of marijuana for years, the drug takes its toll on mental functions (4). Heavy or daily use of marijuana affects the parts of the brain that control memory, attention, and learning. A working short-term memory is needed to learn and perform tasks that call for more than one or two steps.
Smoking marijuana causes some changes in the brain that are like those caused by cocaine, heroin, and alcohol. Scientists are still learning about the many ways that marijuana can affect the brain.
Perhaps "fade" wasn't the right word to use when explaining that marijuana affects memory. Make sure you never use the wrong word in the future, Sangha.
There are some studies that indicate marijuana does affect long-term memory, but I'll research it more in the future. This one makes me wonder:

Back to the original argument: so-what do you suggest? Pay them more than what the position usually pays?
IMO, it depends on the difference in pay. If it's large, then they should pay them what they used to earn, or give them a higher paying position. Remember, the ADA does not apply to small businesses. Businesses large enough to fall under the ADA usually have a variety of job positions. In a trucking company specifically, the drivers are typically not the highest paid employees. The mgrs in charge of dispatching and loading the trucks make more
