    If the government, right now, wants to just give me back every dime I put in to my social security, with a minimal interest, I would be happy to just shake hands, walk away and forego any hopes of social security benefits.

    I believe I could have done better with that money. Especially as I have aged and learned to dicipline myself to save. Maybe as a younger man, not so much.
