Gene Simmons has come out in favor of Rick Perry for President after claiming that he supported Obama in 2008. He is now predicting that Perry will win claiming, "I'm always right". I just wanted to see what everyone's opinion is of this.:applaud

I am waiting until David Cassiday announces who he is supporting. I think most will follow David's guidance.

I think he's probably right unless things change dramatically for the better in this country.

Isn't Gene part of the "Hollywood Elite?" Or is that Chaim? Or the Demon?

I love KISS, but I'm waiting for Ace Frehley's endorsement.

I don't think Ace Frehley is with them anymore. Anyway, I think Simmons' opinion might have to do with Obama's remarks on Israel. Simmons was born there.

So ****ing stupid - this 'celebrities endorsing candidates' crap is ****ing pathetic and I think a blazing fat lable of what's wrong with this country.

What do i think? I could care less.

He is that guy who wears short shorts and exercises, right?

It is a well known fact that Hollywood is nothing but a bunch of kooky conservatives!:2razz:

I think it means the people a starting see that they made a mistake voting for Obama in the first place.

It's sad that they didn't pay closer attention to what Obama was saying and that he had no experience and was Mr. non action in the Senate. It's hard to admit you were wrong, but Simmons manned up and did it, I am impressed.

BTW I an not a KISS fan, and couldn't tell you a single one of there songs.

I don't think a Rocker will sway many votes but on a personal level he did the right thing.

Oh wait, he's that guy who is in KISS.

What do I think? I am neutral on the matter.

Well, celebrity political opinion is considered offensive only when it goes against the GOP (ie: Striesand, Dixie Chicks, etc., the list goes on.)

It is in Gene Simmon's nature, nay, genetics, to favor the politics that enhance the wealthy at the expense of the less fortunant. What else would he say?

Oh! Oh! Now you've done it. This will mean that we now have two agreements. I agree that Hollywood is made up of a bunch of kooky conservatives, like Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn, Robert Redford, et al.

/sarcasm

ROFL!

Is that why he voted for Obama in 2008?

I don't care what celebrities think.

Now, If Perry could just get Qaddaffi and Chavez to talk nice about him, he'd be a shoe in, eh?

Obama already has Chaves on his side. Birds of a feather,

I never understood the KISS attraction but then again, when KISS first came out, their fans were probably in the 12-14 year old age bracket and I was 10 years or so older at the time. We considered them pretty much a teeny-bopper band as we were getting into real rock and roll like Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Rush, etc... But, those tenny boppers are now in their 40's and I do understand how the memory of KISS might take them back to simpler days. KISS is, as they say in Texas, all hat and no cattle. Flash and make-up was their forte, not music.

Does anyone other than me think it's ironic that a man famous for his womanizing and adultrious affairs is supporting a man who thinks that Gene Simmon's, (as well as all other jews,) is surely doomed to a Lake of Fire because of Gene's refusal to accept Jeeeezus as his "personal savior?" Too funny.

Austin, TX—Via his campaign’s website, Governor Perry criticizes his opponent—Carole Strayhorn—claiming she, “is sadly not above exploiting child tragedies … What a despicable thing to do.” FN1. Despicable indeed. Yet, as a private citizen, Perry has profited from his investments in Movie Gallery, Inc—America’s largest pornography distributor—a company that profits from exploitation and violence against women. FN2.
When running for Lieutenant Governor, Rick Perry combined his publicly traded stocks into a blind trust—Perry Blind Trust, Inc. FN3. Thus, Perry’s subsequent Personal Financial Statements reveal little about his stock holdings. FN4. However, Perry’s 1995 Personal Financial Statement—the final revealing record of Perry’s assets—shows that he invested in thirty-two stocks, including Movie Gallery, Inc. FN5. While the precise amount of the investment is not revealed, Perry listed the stock in category “B”—meaning that the stock was worth between five and ten thousand dollars. FN6. Most of Perry’s stock fell into the class “B” category. FN7
Based in Dothan, Alabama, Movie Gallery boasts being the second largest North American home-entertainment specialty retailer after Blockbuster; Movie Gallery has more than 4700 stores located in all fifty states, Mexico, and Canada. FN8. Movie Gallery is also both the largest distributor of pornography in America and the only major retail chain to sell pornography in its flagship stores. FN9.

I have never understood KISS's attraction either, I figured they were just the 70s version of ICP.

You're going to be hard pressed to find any video store that doesn't rent some sort of X-rated movie and the majority of movies now days exploit violence against women. What's so funny is that the majority of those movies are produced by liberals. And I would still rather have Perry's economic record over Obama's any day. Just the fact that most liberal sites are trying to dig this stuff up (most of it edited to make him look bad like Ed Shultz'z little video that he got busted on) shows that the liberals are scared to death of Perry. It shows that they know he can beat Obama hands down. This is the liberal strategy: Lie, distract, distort, and spin.

and I should actually care about what some washed up jerk with a genius for self promotion thinks because.............?????
