I'm politically "other"

My beliefs don't fit in a nice tidy box.

Don't they? I mean no offense at all. Yes, I choose to identify my political lean. Even if I didn't, my posts would give me a way. You don't think your posts do the same?

I think there's a difference between choosing what I think is a correct course of action on a subject, and towing a party line...

Can you give me specific examples of my posts that indicate I'm a liberal.

Was it my disdain for Obamas approach on the debt issue from the beggining, or was it my equal disdain for Republicans in Congress and their equally stupid crap.

Perhaps it was my disdain for social conservative values, which I don't have a disdain for at the individual level, as I personally try to adhere to many of them, or is it just that I don't wish to force my own morals on the rest of the population that makes me a liberal?

Perhaps its my opposition to the war in Iraq, we know of course not a single conservative was ever against it.

I dunno, maybe its just you don't like fun being poked at anything even remotely associated to your lean.

They consider driving to be a chance to nap, damnit!

That's ok. Women aren't required to take a depth perception test to get a drivers license, and asians haven't been banned from driving.

Freedom, it's dangerous.

So are seniors who payed into social security all their lives and now live off of it in old age, lazy good for nothing leftist parasites?

Most seniors can spell PAID.....
if anything, they are righties, far righties.....ubercons.....

My son is 40, he would love to drop out of the system if he could get back a portion of it, and get a 7.5% pay raise....the part that his employer now pays..

They aren't lazy, they are just tired. I'd take several naps too if I had the chance.

I was babysitting a couple weeks ago. Put the baby down for a nap and she just cried and cried, did not ant to nap. All I could think was: can you imagine not wanting to take a nap?

Florida or Arizona?

Arizona....my son was working in Sun City one summer, during his college years. An old guy ran a stop sign and my son had to make a hard left, no time to stop. Popped a hub cap...
A cop was right behind him at the time. Cop pulls the old guy over and starts lecturing him. my son heard most of it while retrieving the hubcap....the old guy says he never saw the stop sign or the car. He probably lost his license...
Some of the old people are nasty to kids. One got thrown out of a Sun City grocery store because he was harassing a family with small kids who dared to shop in a Sun City store.

I am on Sinemet, makes me very sleepy....3 times a day. I try to not take naps, tho.
Dose number 3 is fine, take it about 10PM, or just before bed time.
First dose makes me queasy as well as sleepy. I get morning sickness every morning.
At 65, I guess I qualify as a senior...

Cool, I grew up next to Sun City, Fl.

No, not parasites. But society can't afford to pay for them anymore at this point. And even if they got only what they paid into the system, they wouldn't be getting much back when compared to the cost of living, even with interest.

This question makes me wish to cry:(

Of course they are not. Sad that someone would ask this and I will NOT vote in this poll:(

And that is a good thing as I would be driving down 95 hitting ANY and ALL SEXIST PRICKS:2wave::2razz:

Return to school, learn to read and write; then learn respect for others.
Threads of this nature belong in the sewer.

Have no fear, Kali dear...

The OP doesnt really apply to seniors. It is a mocking/baiting poll kinda thread in response to people like...oh...say...me that have no problem proclaiming certain segments of our society parasites. Its fun...because then we can draw the completely unconnected conclusion that since seniors who have typically spent a lifetime working and paying into the social security system arent parasites, then its absurd to call the welfare class parasites.

Now...the term 'parasite' is far more appropriately applied in this case...2 AM...ER team working desperately to save a 31 year old woman from an intentional overdose...her...conservatively...lets say 15th time (but since the hospital databases arent connected we cant really know). This particular 31 year old has been on SS as a child and then state disability pretty much her whole life. Hospitalizations and ER visits? Too many to count and again...no way to count accurately, but conservatively...we can fairly estimate that this one individual has cost the taxpayers...Im just guessing now...30-40 ICU stays, 20-30 secure psych stays, countless overnight stays in the county funded residential unit, weekly case work, social worker visits, monthly psychiatric med management visits, food, home, prescription meds, drug and alcohol rehab...conservatively...Id guess somewhere around 2-3 million dollars.

What triggered the lates OD? The state recently took her child. Her 6th child. All 6 in state custody. All due to her drug use. Its not fair. She haz a sad.

In the midst of working to save her life, in comes meth mommy. Meth mommy is distraught and histrionic demanding she get to be by her baby. Meth mommy is...well...here is a visual...imagine Disney's Cruella De Ville (Image of Cruella De Ville not officially sanctioned by Disney and Disney Incorporated)...dressed from the waste down in, no exaggeration, total Napolean Dynamite chic...complete with the moonboots, torn and stained sweatpants. From the waist up (and again...think...the disney cartoon version of Cruella) she is in a loose fitting tank top. That is all. Yes...its a beeeeyotiful sight. Hair done up in "the Medusa." She is environmentally conscious...doesnt want to waste too much water on that whole teeth brushing thing...the meth has helped ensure that will not be a problem. She too has had a lifetime in the system. But she does so love her baby-so much so that she began sharing her life experiences with baby when baby was a 10 year old, taking her to parties, then at 13 introducing her to much older men, alcohol, then drugs.

Oh but it gets better. Dad comes in shortly after. Dad was right there with meth mommy when baby was introduced into the lifestyle, then dad had an epiphany and cleaned up his life and called CPS to take baby and her siblings until they could get clean. Dad went to jail for a little while, as did meth mommy while the state took care of baby and kids. Meth mommy hates dad. Dad and meth mommy in the ER...now we have a real party. Meth mommy has to be phsyically restrained and chemically sedated, which is all kinds of icky. All this going on while they are saving baby's life.

I'd love to be able to tell you this is a fabrication...or even just an amalgamation of personality types...its not. And the sad reality is this family is just one of hundreds and in some cases thousands in any given county.

Not sure where the body count will end...but...when I refer to 'parasites'...yeah...these type of folks. Not senior citizens. But...where is the fun in admitting that the problem is actually real? And the REAL joke...people that think that continuing to enable these types of folks is more 'humane'.

No, not parasites. But society can't afford to pay for them anymore at this point. What a horrible thing to say ! Has our "society" sank to that depth ?? And even if they got only what they paid into the system, they wouldn't be getting much back when compared to the cost of living, even with interest.
Remember, they is us.
The retirement age should be bumped up to 70 for a great many, but surely not all.
Coal miners should be at 50 to 55, its that hazardous.
Life insurance salesmen .. 70 to 80.....
Politicans....never...

Yeah, that is a typical poor person. Where is this person and how is it that you came to know so much about them? It seems like a hyperbolic fabrication to me. There are thousands of people in any given county that visit the ICU 30-40 times? Do you have any proof of that claim?

If you want to see some real parasites visit your bank.
