So are seniors who payed into social security all their lives and now live off of it in old age, lazy good for nothing leftist parasites?

Seniors should get outta SS what they pay into it.

No. After all, they have a reason why they have SS and private companies pay for their pensions. They earned it, after decades of hard work. They worked hard, and it should pay off

It's not like they had a choice paying into the system. They have a right to every cent they paid in plus interest. What they do with it is their business. They money is theirs.

Before we continue, I hope everyone appreciates a wee bit of satire.

No rate of return on the money? I mean even in a basic savings account at the local bank they would get a fair amount of interest over 40 years.

I think current old people need thier social security... young people like me... i dont want it when im older, i want it completely gone over a long period of time.

I don't have a problem with that, really, but how could that even work? In order to pay interest, you'd have to take it from other contributors, wouldn't you? It's not like SS is a money making investment.

There is no good reason why those just entering the workforce should have to pay the elderly because they borrowed money from themseleves and spent it.

It was just an observation. I observe lots of things. ;) Was I wrong?

Well yes indeed.

You assume I'm a liberal poking fun at conservatives.

When I'm actually just a dude with no political affiliation poking fun at a view point that I don't associate with level minded people like your self that have chosen a political label which you're actually associating that viewpoint with... not me.

Or invest it...

Or invest it...

Then how are we going to pay current beneficiaries or finance the shortfalls "investing it" would create in the general fund?

I cant believe that anyone even attempts to answer such a lame question as this.

You're not politically liberal?

What about in a messy box?

It's more like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get...

(Until the subject has been analyzed and a position can be determined based on what is best in the eye of the beholder which can sometimes be taken from both sides or none at all)

So you have a yummy box?

They aren't lazy, they are just tired. I'd take several naps too if I had the chance.
