Tax rates don't determine jobs, profitability does.
Simple fix -- make income tax only on what the owners take home. Any dollar spent on growing the business is tax free.
It depends on where the tax cuts are directed. The problem our economy currently faces is NOT that businesses don't have the money to hire people; many of them are sitting atop huge piles of cash. The problem is that businesses don't have (or think they don't have) a large enough customer base to make it PROFITABLE to hire more people.
Payroll tax cuts, lower-bracket income tax cuts, and corporate tax cuts are fine with me. Higher-bracket income tax cuts and estate tax cuts are a horrible idea...in fact those rates should be higher than they are now (a little higher for the top income tax rates and a lot higher for estate taxes).
Are you coming to bed?
I can't. This is important.
Someone is WRONG on the internet! -XKCD
If you were an employer, would you be (more/less) likey to hire if you had (more/less) money?Who is to say that unemployment wouldn't have dropped even farther without the tax cuts?
Which hopefully your going to learn someday is 100% wrong.......When it comes to job creation, the only way I know of to it is to create a demand, and then go into business supplying for that demand.
For I would ask, what are you Demanding right now?..........how are you conveying that Demand to the Entreprenuer?
Demand plays a role.....its just not the lead role as you would like to portray it......
Yes a tax cut would help the middle class.........As such, I would speculate that jobs are created in times of great invention, and when the middle class has money to spend on luxuries.
So the same would apply to everyone.........if government took less of their money.........Tax Cut--Hello!If the middle class has more money to spend on luxuries, then more companies will have a niche to fill to supply those luxuries.
Well how many times have you been hired by a Poor Person?By luxuries, I mean everything from monogrammed handkerchiefs to the latest toy that kids want for Christmas to better cars and houses, and everything in between. A larger and wealthier middle class can consume more, and so more commerce and industry can be supported. The upper class, meanwhile, is far too small to consume on that scale. Even if they had all the money in the world, they simply couldn't spend it fast enough to keep an economy going.
Tax cuts have zero to do with job creation...thats a bs story created by the GOP to protect their rich guys
Well I would say your solution exists today.......as any dollar spent on the business is a deduction. But its not to say there arent 10,000 other ways of making business growth and expansion easier in The Divided Socialist States of ObamAmerica.Simple fix -- make income tax only on what the owners take home. Any dollar spent on growing the business is tax free.
