Coming just a little over 8 months since Nov. 2,2010--The Largest Political Ass Whooping in History........if you were an elected Republican in Washington.....would you agree to raise taxes and commit political suicide?

I don't know any Republican or Tea Party member that was elected to go to Washington for the purpose of helping The Kenyan Tyrant and Democrats continue their evil ways........

........they were elected to stop The Kenyan Tyrant and the Democrat's hair brain agenda.......they were elected to cut spending.......they were elected to stop an ever growing ever expanding Liberal Nanny State Government. This isn't a one-way solution, you have to stop spending, increase the efficiency of tax-collection, and increase taxes.

In principle, no, the average American doesn't like any sort of tax increase; but factor in decades of deficits, an unwillingness to cut services, and a heightening negativity toward corporations (which are generally connected with the wealthy in the public consciousness), a majority of Americans are convinced raising income taxes on higher-income brackets is the better political choice right now.

Regardless, between supporting people from falling into homelessness and providing jobs, there has to be a limit to the number of cuts we make before the adverse affects of shrinking the "nanny state" begin to outweigh the gains; and if we are to be serious about tackling the deficit, we need to compensate for that limit with tax increases on higher income brackets.

That sort of eclectic policy is the only way to get serious about our country's problems.
