I dunno but her actions could definitely qualify as child neglect or abuse.
    At least by Wikipedia's standards.

I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

I believe our "excellent system" failed, yet again.

The system failed with OJ and Casey. What is to keep me or anyone else from copying their patterns in a close enough way to also be presumed "not guilty"? It must be grand to see such holes in our system and, if copied to an extent, can be presumed not guilty.

I think murderers slip through the system.

Stillballin75, it's not easy to just "get over" this obvious injustice.

This issue angers me far, far more than political discussion ever could. I can't think of that sweet little girl and get over it.

I don't believe so. I don't believe the state proved beyond any reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony killed her child.

This I have to agree with ... there's a dead child and no one convicted for it.

I haven't followed the case, only heard what's been on the news, which I didn't pay that much attention to.

I suspect that the child died accidently and the mother just stuck the body in the trunk or something and then later the parents tried to clean up the mess.

Like planning to use chloroform on the childs mother to "fake" an abduction or something.

Patents will go to great lengths, and if they lost their grandchild due to their daughters stupidity already, at least they still have their daughter. Who tbey might lose as well if she gets sent to prison for negligence.

I really don't buy complete innocence, however.

That doesn't make her innocent. She's intelligent yet narcissistic. I believe she committed the crime. One needn't be blind to nothing but evidence.

It's actually not difficult to murder and escape justice.

wow. Imagine going to a court full of people who just KNEW you were guilty from the start. That would be a failure of the legal system.

She was not charged with child neglect, although she probably should have been. She was charged with child abuse but I believe there was no evidence presented that she abused Caylee.
