Have you ever voluntarily pay more taxes?

I am curious to know just how many people have voluntarily payed more Federal taxes then what was required of them.

We have seen often enough the idea that we need to raise taxes on the wealthy in order to solve our debt issue. But do we practice what we preach or should only the wealthy contribute more?

Is that even legal? I don't remember the option on any of my tax forms.

I'd be willing to pay extra in taxes, and I think that taxes need to be raised across the board, but that's a bit of an empty platitude for someone with no prospects of future employment.

absolutely. not only does the treasury allow you to donate to paying down the national debt; but you certainly aren't required to take any deductions.

Absolutely not, I won't subsidize corruption anymore than I have to.

Well, then, I suppose I have. I don't normally claim myself.

Raising the taxes are the wealthy is necessary because:

    (1) reductions in spending that could make not raising taxes feasible aren't possible in a brief period of time

    (2) the middle class is sunken into credit; only the wealthy have money to tax
If you notice something good in yourself, give credit to God, not to yourself, but be certain the evil you commit is always your own and yours to acknowledge.

I'm disappointed there wasn't a "**** NO" poll option, so the "No" option will suffice.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

    2. Not true. Raising taxes on the wealthy do not solve the budget deficit at all. For instance Obama tax increases would only solve 6% of the budget deficit, even if Obama predictions come true. We need to reverse Bush tax cut completely, not just for the rich. and we need implement GOP budget cuts.
