Who was the bigger MJ?

Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson?

Who had a bigger impact on their industry to this day?

Michael Jackson, definitely. Jordan was a superstar at his hayday, but he didn't redefine the game of basketball the way that Michael Jackson redefined pop music. Virtually every pop artist today is influenced by Michael Jackson, but I'm not sure you can say the same of basketball players and Michael Jordan.

I'm not sure that kids today would even recognize a picture of Michael Jordan unless they were basketball fans...but I bet almost everyone would recognize a picture of Michael Jackson, even if they weren't really that into his music. And I bet people will still recognize Michael Jackson in 50 years, the way that people still recognize Elvis today.

He didn't redefine the game? I beg to differ, strongly. He is arguably one of the most recognized faces around the earth, and look today, who doesn't like Michael Jordan? I know plenty of people who hate Jackson and his music, including myself. But at the same time you do have a point with your second line.

I'll say Micheal Jackson though I think he is slightly over rated.
