When I recieve likes...

Warm and fuzzy are a bit of an overstatement, but I do like the like system.
 
I wonder if it's like a little hit of dopamine to get liked on a post. Being liked makes you want to post more because you feel you've connected with people.

Either way, I'd like a "dislike" button to go with it. I wonder which one I'd use more?

I hope this budget/debt limit debate keeps going I'm collecting likes like crazy. :) My leg is tingling
 
Most of the time it makes me feel good. On some occasions when someone that I really don't like 'likes' one of my posts, it makes me wonder where I went wrong.
 
1) I cut a hole i a box.
2) I stick my junk in that box
3) I have you open the box.

And that's just how I do it!

Personally, since I don't post with the expectation of nor for the purpose of receiving likes, I don't feel "disincentivized."

I am always mildly surprised and curious when I receive a like. It amuses and bemuses me that anyone at all reads what I write at all.
 
The real question is do you like turtles?

You write some pretty golden stuff both in a serious and playful manner.
 
I recently put a pic of my grandson and myself in the woods of Idaho and was shocked I got 9 Likes.

I had put it down in the Basement's Tavern Members pic as just thought it is sometimes nice to put a face on the name.

Am certain it was the grandson who got the attention and not myself.
