Lean left, don't think she will.

Mixed feelings; hope she does because Obama would crush her regardless of the economy. But at the same time, having her so close to the executive branch scares the **** out of me.

Can't decide if she's stupid, crazy or both but no. I don't want her anywhere near the White House.

I hope like hell she is the Republican nominee. I think she is the perfect spokesperson for the new Republican Party.

Welcome to the board. :)

Care to be more specific?

I think she will give Mitt Romney a run for his money by social conservatives especially in the south.

A little off topic but I got to throw this out there.

My crowd of friend is pretty diverse. Reps, Dems independents etc.

But even among my friends who I think are extreme righties and totally bias NONE of them want palin, cain or Bachmann near the white house.

Ive actually never met anybody in real life that did so do these people REALLY exist and are they serious?

Some of my friends think she is they are good for the party because they are walking talking points and can rally people. They can go out there and say all the crazy stuff and you support them when it works and ignore them when it fails but they will keep trucking along and fight for the right.

They are good puppets and GOOD AT IT.

But does anybody seriously and honest want Bachmann in the white house?

Is there a "hell no" option?

Michele Bachmann will come into her own when she is in a team, such as her and Sarah Palin with Michele Bachmann in the back seat.

Sarah Palin seems fearless when it comes to the press attacks which have been relentless for two years.

The backlash from the Email debacle will make a great story to show how capable Sarah is, and her experience and time in office just adds to Obama's image of an amateur.

Michelle is running for President. Why would she backseat Sarah? I don't believe either woman's ego would let her take second place.

I do because #2 leads to # 1 and Sarah thanks to Liberal media has name recognition unequaled in recent memory.

see this is a perfect example, I find your post very hard to even believe or take sincerely.
Im more likely to believe that you are really a lefty hack posing as a rightie hack in attempt to stir debate. Its seriously tough to think a real person would honestly and logically believe what you wrote above.

Bachmann is hawt! Much more attractive than the extreme mandible that is Palin. I hope Michele wins the nomination and starts spelling her name with two els.

I think it will be Romney.

I doubt she will win the GOP nomination (and I lean neither left or right). Although, I do think she is smarter than what the media wants to push and I believe she would be a better president than Obama.

Me thinks that the friends you think of as righties are really just good ole' fashioned ('real') Republicans (you know, in the reasonable quadrant of the right side of the political spectrum.) I know a few people that actually think Palin would make a good president.... they are reasonable people on most fronts but......... (I can't only any further and still be deemed nice)

Palin and Bachman may as well be twin sisters, with Palin the smarter one and Bachman the one that actually did her homework.

From what I've seen Bachman appeals to the Right because they believe they are right. Obama appeals to people that know that there are no perfect solutions and that things are complicated. Bachman types just have to look up the solution in a book or from memory and apply it and Bachman does this the most. Quick unthinking answers are the result. Bachman has the far right captured and will have the moderate thinking right perplexed. Unless the Republicans can come up with a candidate that that appeals to me more than Obama, Bachman is the best choice for me.

while you know I respect your opinion digs even when its different than mine, Michele was a birther until just this april? And she really only backed off it because she was talked into a corner.

Sorry that alone "IMO" shows while she may be smart in ways she has some serious wires crossed and a moron gene just dying to get out or be influenced by anything she deems important instead of logic.

If she can convince herself to be a birther she can convince herself of anything no matter how crazy.

Okay, I just upgraded her from 'stupid and crazy' to 'BITCH!!'

(8) BACHMANN SUGGESTED GAY SINGER SHOULD REPENT AFTER GETTING CANCER: Bachmann saw Melissa Etheridge’s cancer as a teachable moment: “Unfortunately she is now suffering from breast cancer, so keep her in your prayers,” she said in November 2004. “This may be an opportunity for her now to be open to some spiritual things, now that she is suffering with that physical disease. She is a lesbian.”

vintage Bachmann.

The media? You think the rest of America doesn't hear her speak and go "........ oh hey now! What the [expletive-deleted] was that all about!?"

10 Of The Craziest Things Michele Bachmann Has Ever Said | ThinkProgress

Wow
Those are just blurbs and of course context is important but if all those are true and not taken out of basic context, anybody that wants this lady near the white house needs to seriously rethink that crazy idea.

She is a nutcase, a walking talking point, all about shock factor (or ignorance), nothing more than hot air and obviously has diarrhea of the mouth lol

Michele Bachmann is a well educated, disciplined and very experienced politician who is well known by her former Minnesota opponents to be an extremely energetic and effective campaigner.

Chris Matthews on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher last week predicted she would win the Republican nomination and I fear he's right.

Mitt Romney can't win in the South and Bachmann was born in Iowa. I think she'll do well in New Hampshire, too.

Why don't we have direct presidential elections in America? In my opinion it's because the founding fathers feared populists like Michele Bachmann.

As a Democrat I take her very seriously; she'll be a tough opponent for Obama.

I respect your opinion as well and I believe that you bring up valid points that I agree with.

However, I view Obama in a similar light as Bachman. Bachman was a birther because she's a talking head for extreme right wing GOP talking points. However, I believe Obama is similar only on a different spectrum. I look at Obama's extreme rhetoric regarding the stimulus bill (scare tactics and promising unemployment below 8%) and his arrogant attacks towards the GOP (like laughing about the border and saying Repubs won't be happy unless we have a moat around Mexico). I think Obama clings to talking points as well. Given the current debt and direction of the country, I think Obama's presidency and administration is more harmful than what Bachman would do. If anything I think Bachman *could* act upon some of her points I agree with like lowering debt, decreasing spending, lowering taxes, and allowing economic recovery to happen. I don't support Bachman at all, but given the choice between her and Obama I would pick her as the lesser of two evils (or naive morons).
