Yes - I am.

I generally don't like other women. . . in fact -there are many I hate for no reason at all.

Probably not. Doesn't misogyny mean you hate them because they are women? I suppose it is possible, but I have never heard of such an instance.

I've known some women who didn't like to work with women. They said they didn't like the gossip-factor.

Yes...in fact some of the worst misogynists are women. Ayn Rand comes to mind.

some could make a valid claim that Ann Coulter (yes she really is a woman I met her long before anyone ever heard of her) can be one

If you are talking about hating men the word is misandry.

Ann has an Adam's Apple. Look out.

It is defined as: hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women, and although it's is true a woman can have ill feeling for one or morw women I have yet to find a woman who has, hatred, dislike, or mistrust of all women.

A woman can be a srry useless bitch, I have met a few, but only a very few.

Sure. The definition of misogynist is simply "one who hates women". It doesn't say "men who hate women", lol!

Dictionary says "hatred of women" - no rational cause or reason.

Good point!

I wondered if my mom, in hating women, hated herself. She had four daughters, and resented each who was not male. Quite bizarre.

Me? I'm talking about women who hate women. My mother may have been one.

Does that mean that women who hate women, automatically like men?

Consider China's views on females - that's advocated misogyny with a dire consequence . . . and I'm sure many women supported it becaues of what would happen if they didn't.

Ayn Rands view of women I don't think its what you think it is. You can look at her books and get that she believes in social equality. You can look at her interview answers and get a feeling she is for equality of women in all walks of life. I think she actually gave off the opposite impression.

As I understand her, Rand was an egalitarian and wanted women to have the same rights as men. She did not want women to have special privileges over men which is what I believe some of the women's movement has become in the past few decades.

I don't know about misogyny, although, I'm inclined to agree, but, certainly, women can have patriarchial, sexist (against women) ideas. There are fairly obvious examples we could cite.

Another "stereotype"
I have read that men can gossip even worse than women. Having worked with both, its definitely and individual factor NOT a sex factor.

No, it's quite true - some women don't like to work with other women

Some men don't like to work with other men . . . it's just a thing.

Interesting, and this may be the "undoing" of the Chinese "superiority"..

Believing in social equality and hating women are not mutually exclusive. Not every misogynist thinks that a woman's place is to be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. The way that females were portrayed in Ayn Rand's poorly-written books reveals some serious misogyny. Virtually every female character was either a conniving bitch, or a hero whose reward was to become some man's prize. She had a lot of issues with women. Sex was usually depicted as degrading/humiliating to the woman. I bet she was into lots of kinky bondage ****.

They can be the meanist, cold-hearted bitches in the whole universe.

Most probably.

And I agree on the gossip thing being unrelated to sex.
