Re: Do you sleep with your spouse?

My fiancée and I have been living together for 1.5 years and have shared the bed almost every single night. Only once a week or so, I visit my parents and spend the night there, which is when we don't sleep in the same bed.

But one thing is very important for both of us: Same bed, but separate blankets! Once we tried one single large blanket, and it was horrible.

Another thing is that often, we have different sleep rhythms. Usually, she would fall asleep much earlier than I do, so I am reading or watching TV either in bed where she is sleeping already, or I sit at the computer in the same room. Fortunately, that doesn't bother her and doesn't disturb her sleep, just like I don't wake up when she rises early. If one of us had a much lighter sleep, this would be a problem and we probably should consider different rooms.

    My mind is boggling.

My partner and I always sleep together, even on the nights we've argued. Only night we didn't was when I went downstairs (in my old house) to the loo and came back to find she'd stretched out spreadeagled in the bed, still asleep. I didn't have the heart to wake her and had a horrible night on the sofa downstairs.

Apparently she had nightmares all night so we've agreed I just nudge her next time. I used to snore but ever since I stopped drinking red wine (boohoo) I've gone back to being a quiet sleeper.

sleep together, always. I cant sleep without my husband next to me. I hate when he has to go on work related trips, thankfully they are rare.

I have a hard time sleeping without my wife next to me. I guess 27 years of marriage will do that. I have a full length body pillow that I take whenever I have to travel.

How do you cuddle under separate blankets? That would annoy me laying beside my sweetie and not be able to touch her.

My parents slept together for their entire 50 plus years of marriage, even tho' dad snored. But I only remember seeing them hug and kiss once in my life when I was a young girl. However, in their senior years before they died, they used to take walks holding hands. Go figure. Maybe the hand holding was to steady themselves. Or maybe it was their way of showing that they still loved each other. Anyway, it's makes for a nice memory of them.

Re: Do you sleep with your spouse?

My wife works night shift 3 days a week at the hospital, so I get the bed to myself for 3 nights. I generate insane amounts of body heat, so I like to sleep on top of blankets, maybe under a sheet. She get's annoyed because it messes up the blankets for her if I am on top of them, and I also toss and turn a lot. So every now and then its better for everyone if I go "camp out" on the couch. And I love sleeping on the couch, so it's really a win/win.

Yup, if either of you is a blanket-hog, or just have very different modes of using the blanket (ie one person wants blanket firmly tucked under mattress, other wants it loose and crumpled), seperate blankets REALLY helps. My wife and I had to do seperate blankets, neither of us could stand the other's blanket-using-habits.

Yes most of the time. Only times we don't is because I am up all night debating, lol.
