Who Won the GOP Poll Last Night?

Who looked best last night?

Ron Paul is the most honest and logical thinking GOP candidate in the running.

His problem is that he tells it like it is and that, more often than not, isn't very flattering to the republican party. Ron Paul is to the GOP much like Zell Miller was to the democrats, (in the eyes of way too many GOP partisans.) Their well known pride and tendancies to scapegoat and blame others for their endless failures holds no quarter for an honest candidate amongst their ranks. How dare Ron Paul tell the truth about republicans too? They will think he is a GOP traitor.

I would vote for Ron Paul. But, I still think he's kinda lame too. He can't beat Obama. I think Romney is the only one who would have half a chance beating Obama without some sort of major scandal happening between now and then.

I don't think his answer was good. He helped Obamacare pass, I feel the GOP has no right out person who can beat a President Obama. I don't think President Obama is as strong as he was in 2008. But he probably will win by default. I believe most in the GOP are not happy with their potential canidates. And I don't see Ron Paul beating Obama.

who won?
easy answer: Obama

those who participated only proved that he will have no real opposition in '12

Outside of Romney they do nothing for me. Attacking the president and not telling us what you're going to do will not get my vote.

John McCain attacked Obama and never talked about the issues. He lost.

I agree that Michele Bachmann won the debate though (if we're defining the winner as the candidate who helps him/herself the most by his/her performance). She toned down the crazy and actually came across as fairly reasonable...which may be the first time that I've seen her do that. I think that she's probably the second-tier candidate who is most likely to break out and have a strong insurgent campaign.

Mitt Romney did pretty well too, but as others have said, it was mostly because he didn't screw up.

I think the biggest losers were Tim Pawlenty and Herman Cain. T-Paw didn't give any reason why he should be the anti-Romney candidate as opposed to anyone else, and Cain was a big disappointment given his supposedly great oratory skills.

I believe this is the first time I have ever heard the tea-party whackos referred to as "insurgents." Kinda has a ring to it. LOL!

I also think referring to the TP as insurgents is made of win.
