Of course not. He broke no laws, and did nothing that would compromise his ability to perform his duties. Really, it's absurd that something this inane and irrelevant is even a scandal in the first place.

He ****ing flirted with a few chicks and took some photos less risqué than the underwear displays at a ****ing Walmart. He did not break any laws or violate anything other than grandma’s Puritanical sensibilities. Calling for his resignation over such banalities should be an offense punishable by having the stupid slapped out of you with a dildo cast from the “offending” member.

    Yes.
Not only did he make himself an idiot and made an irreparable prank, he showed that he doesn't have enough sense to remain in office.
Even if he shouldn't, he will because of the immense pressure and the permanent dent to his reputation

I've heard that pulling out prematurely can have unexpected consequences, he should stick it in for the whole length and hope he can pull it off down the track, it'll be hard on him, but I'm sure it's worth it.

    So true.
If he goes limp, he'll never get another ere.....win another election.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

Yes, but only because his illicit conduct may have involved a minor.

I am generally opposed to the idea that a politician's private life is anyone's business. I really don't care. Powerful people being crappy spouses is so common it's practically a rule. It's just a matter of whether or not we find out about it.

And historically, at worst it has no effect on their leadership ability and at best there seems to be a correlation between being a crappy partner and being a great leader. I wouldn't wanna marry them, but hey, it's true.

But in this case, depending on what is found out about his contact with a minor, he could face some very serious charges and possibly even a felony. That changes the game a little bit.

Because he's a freaking idiot, that's why. Instead of fessing up and cutting his losses, he tried to retain the family values voters that he never really had a chance of keeping anyway.

Why bother? Because despite the fact the the country is turning to ****, there are still hoards of morons out there who think Weiner trying to **** random bimbos is more important than politicians who are trying to **** the American people.
