Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

I hate it that liberals are so awesome conservative women like Helen Thomas want to pretend to be one.

But let's get a little more serious, guys. Why do you honestly dislike liberals? Also, please make sure to vote.
we don't, wake; that's the point of us descending into tomfoolery; because that is all this thread deserves.

there are many liberal policies that I hate, mostly because they hurt people. and there are many liberal frameworks that frustrate me, mostly because they seem built upon a rejection of the economic reality we can see in favor of what we would like economic reality to be.

but I don't hate liberals. my father, who taught me how to be a good man, and a good thinker, and that the key to both was to always honestly respect others, is a Liberal.
