If these situations were reversed, I would love to hear explanations from those who make excuses to defend these 4.

This is obviously not true. The definition of racism is that you believe one race to be superior. Making race based decisions is not inherently racist as doing so does not require that one believes in the superiority of one race over others.

Re: Are Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright, Farrakan, and Malik Shabbaz... Racists?

    Are they "racist"?

well racist for me is very defined and extreme, I think people over use the term and prejudice should me used more that racist but anyway thats just my opinion.

    on to the contestants!

    Al Sharpton
    - I dont think he is racists, I do however think he is a MEDIA MUTT and has issues with race, is knee jerk and prejudice. I do think his tactics are over the top, hypocritical, agenda driven and he is part of the problem instead of part of the solution. but not racist. I also admit I dont know everything about the man but im not sure it would change anything.

    Jeremiah Wright
Don't know enough about him but I do know that WHITE people attend and work at his church, how racist could he be?

    (Louis?) Farrakan
    Racist

Dr. Malik Shabbaz of the New Black Panthers
Do not know anything about him except there is a so called "New Black Panthers" party and it doesnt allow whites unlike the old black panther party.
    Yes he "could" be racist

yeah, how long would it take for me to be branded a racist if I said crap like "murder and lying comes natural to black people" or "we need to kill every negro in america, blow up black babies and little old ladies"

these turds are racist to the core and yet people will defend them due to the color of their skin.

I defended the first two not the last two and it had nothing to do with their skin color

I don't know for sure if all 4 are racists, in the classical definition of the term, but they all hate white people

    1. This thread is going to end badly.
    2. This thread has already proved why people can't talk about race.
    3. I don't think Sharpton and Wright are racists. I think Farrakhan is racist and maybe Shabazz (both of them have turned positive movements into negative ones and twisted the message of both).

    Yes they are unquestionably racists.

No I don't care to go and look up all the examples, not because I can't, but because we're starting a movie

I don't know about the rest.
What I'm trying to say is he has many ideas that don't fit anymore when it comes to whites. This is something he learned when he was younger and its just left over from that time period. I think if he spent the time to look around himself today and stopped living and looking at the world like it was 1961, he would see many of his thoughts are just not true anymore. For example, the black condition today, he will go out of his way to say things like the white man is holding blacks down and when faced with actual facts of why blacks have higher crime rates, have lower success rates, etc, he will just wildly ignore those reasons and resort to insults. This shows a real lack of effort on his part to actually look at situations as they are, and a wish on his part to continue to want to blame whites for blacks lack of success. This kind of behavior is what gets him called racist by many, but to me, its just shows denial and a wish his agenda had more legs than it still does.
