    Romney v. Obama

Let's assume Romney will win the Rep. nomination. Based on what you know right now about these two individuals, what they believe, what they've done, etc., who would you cast your vote for?

If you choose neither one, please don't vote.

I would hold my nose and vote for Romney. Voting for a third party would ensure Obama's win.

I absolutely refuse to vote for either one. A RINO is just as bad as a liberal. If there is a 3rd party candidate I like I will vote for that 3rd party candidate and I hope others who are not satisfied with Obama or Romney will do the same. People should throw out that cowardly/chicken**** mentality that if they vote for somebody they actually like then the other guy will surely win. The only people who should vote for Romney are libs because a RINO is a liberal.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

I vote in Alabama. The Electoral College saves me from having to vote for either of those individuals.

Third Party. Maybe I'll write in Daniels anyway.

I'm not sure. I'd have to research more into Romney to make an educated decision. But his treatment of SSM does not sit well with me. Though I do think he would make the best president out of all the republican hopefully so far. Though the only way Romney will win is if more hardcore conservatives vote for him, and not some third party, which I don't know if that would happen. It may swing the election Obama's way.

    Re: Romney v. Obama

I'm not going to vote for somebody who can't win. A write-in has been successful how many times? A third party? We need to start nominating people who will support the general consensus, and realizing that we aren't going to find Mr./Mrs.s Perfect, who espouses every single bit of our ideology. We also need to decide which issues are most important, and which are secondary. Which issues are going to directly affect the safety, health, and livelihood of the country, and which issues are going to have a smaller or less influential affect on the lives of the majority. Romney doesn't support everything I stand for, but he's closer than Obama. If it's between the two of them I'l going Romney.

    If those are my choices.
I will choose, yet again, to not vote.

I'd vote for Romney and make sure all of my dead relatives did, too. Not that it matters, in Wyoming.

Well, obviously I have different priorities than you. But Romney is good enough for me to choose him over Obama, like I would have preferred to vote for McCain if not for Palin.

Of course, a lot would depend on who his running mate was.
