• This is a political forum that is non-biased/non-partisan and treats every person's position on topics equally. This debate forum is not aligned to any political party. In today's politics, many ideas are split between and even within all the political parties. Often we find ourselves agreeing on one platform but some topics break our mold. We are here to discuss them in a civil political debate. If this is your first visit to our political forums, be sure to check out the RULES. I was directed to it by Inferno who posted here at the time.

Got bored one day, typed "political debate forums" into Google, and bam, here I am!

My wife got tired of hearing me rant and foisted me off on you guys!:2wave:

Another one for "debate politics" google search.

I am a forum junkie in general, but I noticed a pattern in myself.

1. Become interested in subject.
2. Find forum for subject.
3. Learn/do everything I wanted to on that subject.
4. Grow bored.
5. Wander away into the off-topic areas to debate politics.
6. Grow bored with slow pace/the fact that everyone else is just there to kill time until their topical thread picks up.
7. Leave.
8. Repeat steps 1-7.

So I figured why not just cut the crap and go to a forum for what I actually want to be talking about.

Was posting political stuff on a computer message board and almost got banned. Typed in "debate politics" in Yahoo! and ended up here. Lurked for about 3-4 months before I posted.

I was wandering around the internet in a drunken haze when a small purple light led me to a brothel, 12 hours later I was looking for a treatment for friction burn and ended up here.

I had a couple terrible experiences with online political debate on forums I found through game strategy websites (a sub-forum to strategy). There were a couple decent people, but overall I'd rather not think about it. After a second (even more terrible) game strategy website off-topic forum, I googled and found this place.

At least there is some sanity here, I'm not saying a lot. But this place is a dream compared. There, it was mostly MEtards and Animes *shiver*.

Search engine. I caught the politics bug in IRC, and eventually migrated to web forums. I was on a few other forums before this one, but this is the only one I've stuck with.

I wanted an American political forum, so I ended up here. :catapult:

My wife attitude about politics is "**** politics"

hah thats my wifes attitude also...she says I have better things to do and better people to think about...lol

My former forum was dying (literally - the server would be down for days and weeks at a time) and the participation was minimal and moving one of the forum members who opened up their own forum. That new forum was basically a rehash of douche's from the old forum so I Googled "political forums" looked for the highest post counts and membership and boom. I'm here. There was another forum in the running but after lurking for a while it was clearly inferior.

blame Hicup. I know him from another forum and he told me about this place.

Someone from another forum invited me here to debate someone who was already a poster here.

I didn't come to debate politics, debate politics came to me.

I initially planned to be active in various forums, yet Debate Politics was the best, the easiest, and the most fun. All the other forums only has my membership (with no posts), or very few posts. I'm very active (as much as in Debate Politics) in another non-political forum, though

I was searching for information on the Jena 6 case and this forum popped up. Started looking around and found it interesting, so I joined. My first forum and my favorite.

Was sleeping with some girl who was lurking...

Either that or I was bored at work and searched debate politics.

Google "politics forum vbulletin"

Stormfront was getting a bit too liberal, so I just followed my nose and found Dan's farts and Partisan. Smelled like home!

Google search, but I can't remember the term. I was on another forum for years, but it turned into a garbage heap of personal attacks and vendettas. I tried a couple others, but settled on DP. There's always something going on here and the moderation is good.
