Nah, we generally agree, but he's not as passionate as I am.

You're lucky that she ****s more than just politics
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

It's only fair, since politics most assuredly seems to be ****ing us.

I debated politically on a past forum that wasn't based on politics.

Then I searched for a political forum and found myself here.

When whistlestopper went down, someone suggested this forum... I came, didn't like it at first but after a couple of months my posting picked up and boom, here we are... Over a year and nearly 8000 posts later...

I find one of the things that makes this place so ridiculously addictive, is not only the people, which is the number one reason, but the likes system...
