Seriously. A billboard??!

Should he be forced to take it down?

Re: Jilted ex-boyfriend puts up abortion billboard

Absolutely he should take it down. It's a violation of her privacy, and medical issues are privileged. Should someone have the right to put up a billboard disclosing an individual has HIV or AIDS? Has gotten a vasectomy... or worse, pretended to have gotten a vasectomy then impregnated his sexual partners? How about a billboard disclosing your medical history with cancer, mental illness, alcoholism, or some other condition that causes your insurance company to cancel your health coverage and that prospective employer to turn you away?

I cannot believe there is even one person out there who believes this crap should be legal.
If you are referring to HIPAA privacy, if you tell someone about your medical information or they find out from someone you told, they are under no obligation to keep it secret unless they have a relationship such as employee or business associate with a Convered Entity that is required to protect the information.

And as long as your standards only apply to you, that's fine with me.

That rather defeats the purpose of them being standards, don't you think?

Not at all... those standards are just severely limited in scope. And thankfully so...

Re: Jilted ex-boyfriend puts up abortion billboard

I did say that he should be able to force her to have the child, so he can raise it on his own.. He is the father after all.. He should have just as much right to that child as she does.. It takes two to make a baby.. Two should decide what to do with it.. If she has the option to terminate the pregnancy and basically walk away.. He should have the same option, should she decide to have it..

No, it takes two to START a baby, the rest of the work of making the baby is up to the woman. She shouldn't be forced to finish making the baby any more than he should be forced to participate in the starting of one.

Re: Jilted ex-boyfriend puts up abortion billboard

I think by now the woman has got the message, and she will have to live with killing the baby the rest of her miserable life. Sad but true. Time for the guy to move on because there is nothing good to come from this.

Now she is filing a law suit and I think this will get really nasty.

He didn't tell people her name

if this is revenge then a innocent baby have to die becuase of 2 stupid adults.

No - that was referring to the notion that the boyfriend was jilted because they broke up and he posted the billboard to spite his ex girlfriend *because they broke up* - not *because maybe she actually had an abortion* (which she says she didn't).

So what's really sad is that he used his late unborn child as a ploy in a relationship game of smack-around to hurt, humiliate and piss off his ex. Just as disgusting as parents who plot their children against the ex in the divorce and child-support game.

Adults can be nasty and brutish.

Wow. Some of the posts in this thread are a blatant reminder of why the Abortion Forum needs to be fumigated and slapped with ML. Other posts, however, are civil, thoughtful, inciteful. Thankfully, there are more of those posts than the scummy ones, so overall I'm pleased by the level of discussion on this topic. Good job!! Shame on the zealots bringing their political fanatiscism into the thread. You know who you are, and so do the rest of us! :)

I'm glad the judge sided with the woman... or "incubator" as some prefer to call females... but am disappointed he allowed so much time for it to be removed. I hope this woman sues this douchebag, wins, and leaves him to squat in his momma's basement for the rest of his worthless life. It was a horrible, horrible thing to do to any woman, let alone a vulnerable 18 year-old girl.

Im glad also, the more that comes out about this clown the more of a douche he looks. Like you said and I already said the Judge made the right call.

The judge used common sense, the law and rights of the woman to make his decision. He wasnt blindly by an opinion that abortion is murder or wrong, he wasnt led astray by a pro life belief which has no place in this debate he simply used the law for his reasoning.

She did sue him. That's why the judge was involved.

Re: Jilted ex-boyfriend puts up abortion billboard

I lived in NM, some fvcked up people live there.

I'm hoping for a civil suit. On Judge Judy.

LOL
well I dont know about judge judy but IF all these stories I read about this dip**** are true I hope she does everything she can to legally make this dickbag pay.

Do we know the concrete reason the judge could order the man?

Or is the judge screwing the rules?

What rules?

When it comes to interpreting "what's acceptable - what's not - what's in violation of rights and what isn't" there is no 'lemon law' ruling of any one particular type which lays things out. It's up to the judge and the factors in the case. Usually they depend on rulings that have been upheld in that court, district (etc) before. Othertimes they're treading into uncharted territory where no previous case exists to refer to - so they might refer to other states, etc.

Determining our 'rights' and 'when they're being violated' is a complicated issue.

In his favor he has the fact that he *didn't* name her specifically on the billboard. . . and that's about it.

Everything else debated and waged is opinion and personal conviction - not *by the letter of the law* becaues in regard to this the law is actually quite ambiguous.

I can't see the pictures on my cell.

What happened, please?

Someone took image captures of his Facebook page, in which he makes a number of disturbing and violent comments.
