Which came first?
The chicken, or the egg?
Methinks the chicken, based on Christianity.
What's your theory?
Which came first?
"It had long been suspected that the egg came first but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first," said Dr. Colin Freeman, from Sheffield University's Department of Engineering Materials, according to the Mail.
Fish and dinosaurs were around a long time before chickens, therefore its eggs. (I am not a young earther)
The chicken came before the chicken's egg.
the first chicken most likely came from something else's egg as a slight mutation.
Methinks the chicken, based on Christianity.
But the mutation came with the embryo not the actual egg. The egg in which the chicken was born was most likely not a chicken egg, but the egg of its ancestor which birthed the first chicken... then hence from then on every egg a chicken layed was a Chicken-egg.So conversely the egg which produced the first chicken, came first.
Yet the question does not specify that the egg must be a chicken egg.But the mutation came with the embryo not the actual egg. The egg in which the chicken was born was most likely not a chicken egg, but the egg of its ancestor which birthed the first chicken... then hence from then on every egg a chicken layed was a Chicken-egg.
This position relies on the assumption that the theory of evolution is fact.Obviously there were many types of eggs before chickens existed, so it's equally obvious that the question refers to the first chicken egg, rather than the first egg of any kind. Therefore the question becomes; how do you define 'chicken egg'? Does it have to be laid by a chicken, or does it just have to have a chicken inside of it? IMHO, an egg with a chicken inside of it is a chicken egg, even if it was laid by another bird. Therefore, the egg came first.

Only the chicken!
Genesis 1:20-21
King James Version (KJV)
20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
EVOLUTION! That's what came first!
