Im old and Ive owned lots of old cars....new cars are better built, better designed, more comfortable, less maintenance, cost less to maintain, break alot less. Newer cars are all around better EXCEPT....they are not faster for the most part.

Huge fan of cars of the 50s like this one I drove in high school.

    59 Dodge D-500 Custom Royal Lancer, 383 two 4-barrels, 345 HP
    Best car I ever drove

The first car I bought when I was almost 16 for $125. !954 Ford Two Door sedan

I bought this when I was a Senior in high school for $10 it had a bad fender. 1960 Rambler American with a flat head 6cyl, Iwould out run a VW but that was it. lol

With a few exceptions, American cars from the 50 and 60's were bloated whales. They handled about as well as an aircraft carrier. Vinyl and chrome styling isn't exactly pleasing to the eye either.

Speaking on the exterior, the older cars probably have a bit of an edge. Especially during the 60's when things started to become designed aerodynamically, and sports cars began to look like fighter planes with wheels (aesthetically anyway). There are quite a few extremely nice looking modern cars too though.

Speaking on the interiors, modern cars have them beat hands down. I'm not a fan of vinyl.

Cars today (2011) are generally faster then their counterparts in the 50-early 70s. Definately much faster then most of their counter parts in the 90s and early 2000's ( Nissan 300 ZX, Mazda RX7 being noticable exceptions)

You can by 4 door family sedans today with V6 engines that can do 0-60 in around 6 seconds (Nissan Altima, Maxima, Accord) while the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS time is 0-60 mph 7.9 according to

Chevrolet 0-60 Times & Chevrolet Quarter Mile Times | Chevy Chevelle SS, Corvette ZO6 0-60, Cobalt, New Camaro 0-60, Blazer and Chevy Monte Carlo 0 to 60 stats!

Only cars like the Insight, Smart and Prius are generally slower, but they dont have real counterparts (Vega, Pinto, Maverick possible exceptions)

Love the older designs, not to mention that variety of color back then was far greater than it is today. It seems to me that must cars today are silver, white, black, flat maroon, grey or flat green.

Now this would be nice to see on a sells floor.

I just bought the car in the pictures here

Bright Yellow was not exactly my first choice, but it certainly gets attention

Then there is this Mustang and the classic Charger awesome. Not mention many other classic cars in this movie as the chase goes on.

The old stuff not only has more class, more curves and more personality - it's just badass.

I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
