Are you job hunting? Just curious. My company is always hiring but we're only in a dozen cities or so.

Does this fictional person not have a day off?

The library is open on weekends, friends and family are typically open 24/7 if you need it.
There are so few reasonable scenarios where this wouldn't work that it makes it largely a non issue.

No one is asking these people to cross the damn desert, with a thimble of water.
My library is only open for 2 hours on weekends. Budget cuts.

Again forget all that: they should have to provide a way for me to put in for a job onsite. I should not have to beg the boy next to me to use his computer to fill out an appy

BTW, What about the identity theft aspect? What if someone does not wish to fill it out online because they do not wish to give out their SS# online? What if they do and while in process of giving it out get hacked and fall victims to identity theft. Can I sue them for any damages that may be caused since they gave me no choice but to give them my SS# on a computer?

Ask a friend, a family member, go to the department of labor, buy a very cheap pc from a pawn shop, you have choices.

Clear the history and close the page, it's very unlikely that your personal information will be stolen.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

I feel this is a violation of equal employment opportunity due to the fact that not everyone has a computer at home to be able to apply.
Laws defining "equal employment opportunity" are a violation of civil rights.

You have to if that's what the employer wants.

If you don't want to do things the employer's way, why should he consider hiring you?

If the laws are written to force employers to accept paper applications, what's to stop the employer from putting them in a filing cabinet and turning on the computer to find the person he wants to hire?

If you don't want to file on-line, you don't have to. That's not complicated.

Of course, you won't get the job, but life is full of choices, isn't it?
