It is most certainly a last resort, which should not be taken lightly; and it is one of the main reasons for the 2nd Amendment. Revolution is a roll of the dice, it's really hard to say what you're going to get on the other side. We happened to have some very principled folk do it last time and their desire to create a free republic was genuine. But will you always get that? You can't jump on the revolt wagon at the drop of a hat. There has to be cause for it. But people should still remember that revolution is a proper and just tool of the People should the government ever stop serving the liberties and rights of the People.
