Poisonous snakes and spiders, poisonous trees, poisonous octopus, and the world's only poisonous freaking mammal. I hear great things about Australian women, but honestly, I think I'd be too afraid to put any part of them in my mouth.

A close friend has spoken about moving to either Switzerland or Panama. As an international businessman, he can live in these places and visit the US for business. Many people like him have the ability to do this due to modern communication and the ease of travel. They vote to keep their money with their feet. And when the country pisses in the face of business, they can move their plants and production elsewhere. Rightly so.

This isn't like Carter's 1970's disaster economy. People can do the above with ease. China, India and the former Commi countries all afford opportunities for business and businessmen to move from tax punitive, regulatory hostile nations.

Democrats have said they only intend to restore the tax rates that existed during the Clinton years. In reality they're proposing rates like those under President Carter.

Well I've never had a spider crawl out of anywhere unexpected, so I think the women are pretty safe.

Growing up there, I assume you'd be immune.

Well I went and came back ok. I can vouch for the safety of at least 3 of them.

Re: Americans: Have you ever considered ex-patriation?

I can't say that I haven't thought about it.. I can't say that I don't still do.. When people like Sharon Angle or Christine O'Donnel can actually get people to vote for them.. Our nation is a scary place to live.. I am not happy with where our nation is going.. I don't like to many of our politicians.. From either party.. There are a lot of major changes that I feel need to be made.. I just don't see them being made in my lifetime.. There are to many people right now that want to sit back and think how awsome our nation is, when we are really not that great anymore.. Soon we will no longer have a presense in space.. Many people are against a public option.. Which is the key to our medical cost issues.. To many people want to sit back and say that Michael Moore is bias, but don't want to make the effort to prove him wrong.. They don't want to acknowlege a source of information.. He is just an american trying to educate the rest us in hopes that we can vote for some change..

Who wouldn't think about leaving?? We aren't even a nation that extends equal rights to all our citizens nor are we a nation that fully respects the word of law.. And now.. Like other terrorist nations.. We torture our prisoners.. Simply pathetic.. This isn't the nation I grew up in.. Sometimes I wonder where that nation went..

Strictly opinion but I have to admit that australia would be one of the few places I would consider going..."IF" I were so inclined

I love my country, my family has shed alot of blood for her and some have given all. I may sound too patriotic to somes liking, but until I believe theres something better...Im going to stay patriotic

The only thing that really bothers me about our country is our declining nationalism. A nation with no nationalists is no nation.
