The Netherlands no longer a Christian nation [W:126]

Begs the question, can you name the atheist nation/s that brought us out all of those distant Ages?

The only one's I know of that lean in that direction have only brought the world massive misery, destruction and death.

Do you also dislike the growth of Islam since you dislike all religions?

But there is no increase of Islam. I am totally happy with the fact that Muslims to go mosques in lower numbers too. But they do not play as large of an influence on Dutch society as the christian stranglehold has been.

On 1 January 2003 there were nearly 920 thousand Muslims in the Netherlands, 20 thousand more than the year before and 294 thousand more than in 1995. They now account for 5.7 percent of the total population of the Netherlands, compared with 4.1 percent in 1995.

The fact that my mother as someone who was not baptized and did not have a religious belief had problems finding jobs, there where loads of employers where you could not find a job (selling shoes, clothing or even household items) if you where not Catholic. Where you were not allowed as a girl to wear trousers. When people from the big cities in the Netherlands (where the religious idiots did not hold extreme power) girls/children where allowed to wear pants instead of dresses. If you did that in the Catholic region where my mother grew up, you would be fined because girls where supposed to wear dresses (that is what the church dictated). My mother walking around the street was forced on her knees if a religious parade came by.

That is religious stranglehold. Where people where unable to buy condoms except under the cover of darkness just so that the religious extremist could not see you buy condoms. Because the church dictated that birth control was banned.

Yet Christianity in 2016 Netherlands is no longer like that? Yet you seem to even deny the increase in Islam which is way more oppressive than Christianity was 50 years ago?

And why did the numbers of Muslims grow? Because of the Bosnian war and the war in Iraq in 1993 there was an influx of refugees to the tune of many tens of thousands.

By the logic presented so far, a decrease is good and an increase is bad.
So yes an increase could equate to a threat.

When Christians DID have a 'christian nation' they did both... you forget history when it suits you... "Kill them all- God will call His own"

When Christians gained control of nations they fought each other with a brutality that makes beheading seem quaint and naive- or do you forget two World Wars ??? :peace

KEYWORD.... COULD... when Islam is more than 30% instead of around 7% (7% percent, let's not get our unders in a bundle just yet), when they pass Sharia law for non-Muslims you have a point, as it stands- nope... :peace

If we look at other European countries such as the UK the Muslim population increased by more than 1.1 million in just 10 years going from 3% of the population to 4.83% in 2011. So if we look at the trend Islam increasing by 1.83% of the population every decade?

Highly selective and speculative in your ahhhh facts... Europe has 742 million so how many decades will it take for Muslims to become a majority??? Has ANY group stayed singular in anything for decades??? Has any group sustained that long a growth rate in Europe???
