Atheist philosophy has any promise for people?

But atheists say that atheism is not a religion. In what way can they be religious?

Atheism is not a religion. But, there are religions that are atheistic.

That makes no sense. Religion is method for accepting and worshiping a deity. If "they are atheistic" then they aren't religions.

Who says religion and religious worship makes sense?? Jainism does nto have a deity, and there is reconstructionist Judaism, as well as Humanistic Judiasm. Some forms of Buddhism are non theistic.

Then they aren't religions.

Then they aren't religions.

That is a narrow concept of what religion. They disagree. They just don't fit into your conception.

Then it becomes a battle of definitions. I'll pass.

Or cults.

I don't know about cults. Cults are also religions, they just don't have widespread popularity. But when you're talking about some method of living that doesn't involve the supernatural, then you really aren't talking about a religion, you're talking about a philosophy.

Ok we will call them philosophies.

Atheism is not a religion. That is correct.
Atheism is disbelief of all god claims.

Not all religions require a belief in a god.
Thus it is not impossible for an atheist to practice a religion.

Conversely, a theist does not have to practice a religion. To be a theist, all that is required is a belief in one or more gods.

In summary it is possible to be a non-religious theist (I was one for 20 years) like many of the Founding Fathers ; and it is possible to be a religious atheist.

Buddhism involves the supernatural. It, like your religion, has philosophical aspects but it is also a religion.

Religion is a cultural system of behaviors and practices, world views, ethics, and social organization that relate humanity to an order of existence

That 'order of existence' bit includes, in this non exhaustive list, a belief in a god, or reincarnation or karma or some combination thereof.
