How are poor people both human and subhuman?

They have this assumption that they will always be as strong as they currently are mentally, physically and emotionally...they will not. And god help them when they run into a younger version of themselves years later...or when their kid has a learning problem or they get cancer, or mugged or a zillion other things that could happen because in life there are no guarantees.

We all weaken and die...and karma well, it always comes around.

I don't want to sit in judgment of anyone, but I sometimes wonder why Christians have such a bad rap
Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
I am also quietly cheering the new pope, imagining how he rattles some cages.

great quote...and this next part "Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.…"

and yet I hear hard asses pushing all the time for inhuman treatment within the prisons, they want them all to suffer the fires of hell (or something) who cares if they get raped and beaten and abused...they deserve it...:shock: wtf? They truly are viewed as sub human. It's not like everyone in prison is guilty because the system is adversarial not truth seeking

hang them, whip them...who cares...that is the attitude

it is appalling really

many love this new pope because he is a humanitarian...if Christ is/was real...he would be such a man...this pope is enlightened...many others have also been but this type of enlightenment appeals to many who seek justice for all
