I'm pretty sure that wasn't Noah. It was Lot and his two daughters, the only survivors of Sodom and Gomorrah's destruction.

Noah's sons all had wives and families.

Oh, right, now I remember. The one righteous man/family God was able to find and spare from that destruction. Scandalously righteous. :party:

Well see he did that because they wanted to rape Lot's guests, who were angels that were paying him a visit. Now of course, human beings, even if they're your own children, are less "people" than angels are, so it was better for him to serve up his daughters as a rape sandwich than the angels.

That's what true upstanding righteousness looks like.
 
I am most likely Germanic so no, I am not Jewish.

Also, what Noah, I do not believe in that fairy tale about him and his family being the only ones left alive on the planet. I do not believe the earth totally flooded, the story about all the animals on the boat is totally unbelievable, sorry, I think it is a work of fiction that was supposed to be a lesson for Christians.

Noah's family was NOT Jewish. The Israelites were not "founded" until God granted Abraham with being the "father" of them - and that was MUCH later than the flood.
 
I don't know anything about being jewish or what "ancient tribe" my lily white self is from, but I do know that I belong to the family of god according to Christs teachings. And as it is about time for breakfast here, I thank Jesus for dispensing with food purity laws, so I can unashamedly enjoy some bacon and eggs ! :)

Good point that Jesus takes the basic values in the old testament to a whole new level, emphasizing what we call Christian values today. Equality, mercy and forgiveness are among those values that shape our free society, much as some don't want to admit and want to turn back on our own past. We've seen the results of what that does... see Hitler.

I think this is a huge problem with many Christians today. Many refuse to see their stories as what they truly are: mythology. There is no difference between ancient Greek myths and the myths of modern Christians. Both mythologies are designed to teach lessons about what their culture considers proper, moral, and correct. But, just as many ancient Greeks thought their myths were utter truth, so do many modern Christians.

Or the Egyptian mythologies on which I think most religions in the west were based.
