Jesus = Santa Claus For Adults

Ad hominems are the shtick of amateur debaters who don't know it's a fallacy.

I would agree perceiving a religion as equal to a myth or fairy tale would be incorrect, as religions have real effects on today's world, unlike myths or fairy tales. However, Dragonfly only made a comparison. Seeing how you're from Turkey, I shall not attempt to guess your religion, but would note the general aspersions the various religions attribute each other. Regardless, in Matthew 18:3, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. "

jesus means adults should be as innocent as children

Why do we need the government to step in when you and ludin endeavor to stop free-speech in its tracks by attempting to label humor or ridicule as intolerant?

Yep you can say what you want about religion and attempt to demean and ridicule people that believe in those things. which means you are intolerant of what they believe and their views. so yes religious bigotry is alive and well.

Innocent does narrow things down a bit from "like", doubtless there would be other Christians who would disagree with that characterization, as there is no universally recoginized scriptural authority within Christendom. Why Jesus' words would need explanation is a bit puzzling, being He's supposed to be God.

Innocent can mean naive, and it is partly through naivete that children believe in Santa and other things.

Is it not demeaning that Muslims consider Jesus to be only a prophet? Since you equate demeaning statements and ridicule with intolerance and bigotry, that's evidence enough that they are bigots? And what about when Christians suggest Mohammad suffered from temporal lobe epilepsy, that is ridicule and also bigotry?

Jesus = Santa
Heaven = North Pole
Angels = Elves
Devil = Grinch or Abomindable Snowman
Behave and be "good" - you get presents
Misbehave and be "bad" - you get lump of coal - and what does coal do? It burns!!!! :shock:
"He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sakes"
Mystical and magical....
Coincidence ????? :lol:

I doubt seriously that it is coincidental. Many of our made up fables mirror the God Paradigm. It is only natural.
