I'm pretty sure The Avengers didn't get Thor right, either. 2012 was based on the same flood as this movie, I didn't hear anyone complaining. No big deal. Holy-wood is under no obligation to only make literally-true movies.

I've got some troubling news for you, the Bible is a series of books written by people, composed by people, and translated dozens of times by people. Also I don't know if you know but when someone tells you what the Bible says and claims its God's message, its really just there's transcribed onto the words in the text.
