Thread: Are liberals unhappy and arrogant people?

So liberals are people that want change.
But why would someone want change if he likes what he has now?
So this lead me to conclusion that liberals are unhappy people and conservatives are happy people that like what they have.
Are conservatives modest they like what they have but are then liberals arrogant and always want more?

Is this true?

I doubt it. I am not so much sure that liberals crave change as much as they aren't afraid of it and new solutions.

Of course, each individual varies, but I think my statement above is the overall theme.

So what you're saying is, as it currently stands, conservatives don't want to change anything. They're happy with the economy, society, Obama and government.

I am not saying anything. Today this hit me and I just want to hear what people think.

And I mean this in general. Are people that want changes unhappier than people that don't want them.

Also conservatism is today mostly seen as social conservatism.

Its well known that religious people tend to be happier than those who aren't. Social Conservatives tend to be the most religious of the groups.

I don't think this has anything to do with "change" though.

Back when both my children were babies, I can recall wanting change so much, I swear I could just smell it.

THis made me so unhappy, I decided a change was in order.

Why did you want to change it? Did you like that at the moment you wanted to change it?

Thinking about this. Every ideology wants change.

Libertarians want very significant change in many areas, especially economic changes
Conservatives want change, roll back spending, regulations, make the country more pro christian, etc
Liberals want change, as we are discussing.

Given this, I am not sure you are asking the right question Cyrillic.

Yes, one aspect of conservatism is that it wants to maintain the traditional order of whatever society, however societies always evolve, which often puts conservatives in a position where the maintenance of a tradition or order ends up someone seeking change from the new status-quo. I hope this clarifies the nature of my question.

This is why I state the conservatives want to change things.
