I say we get several large guys to slam that ****er around an elevator.

Calling someone an ass out of the blue when they've done nothing to you seems pretty rude to me.

Don't get me wrong, I have no respect for people who abuse animals, and I think she was right to say something, but his bad behavior doesn't excuse her being rude.

I agree. He should know what it's like to have something THAT MUCH BIGGER than he is, turn on him. Of course, it won't cover the fact that the puppy trusted him to begin with.

Really? So if somebody slaps one of your kids, they've done nothing to you? You'll probably say yeah, that's your kid. So - you see them slapping their own kid around? That okay? You won't get angry, and possibly (Oh, NOES!) swear at them? Really. Because any answer you give will likely reflect the fact that you're answering in a bubble as opposed to actually placing yourself in that scenario.

As for me, I can pretty well guarantee the fourth word out of my mouth would be the effinheimer, as in "HEY WHAT THE F!!!?"

I didn't call him an ass. I said in my post he that he was an ass, but when I spoke to him I didn't refer to him that way. My statement to him was, almost verbatim "Hey, I'd be glad to find a home for your dog with somebody who'll take care of it, if you'd rather not".

No better words to live by, IMHO.

I've had a similar situation happen to me. While I was at a dog park, this van comes screeching up (by the way, the van was COVERED in violently anti-"liberal" writing with that car chalk. Right away I smelled trouble). They bring this monster pit out; well, really, it brought them out. The people had obviously no control over this 100+ lb pit. As they were opening the gate, my boxer trotted over to smell the newcomers. Before she could even get within sniffing distance, this pit tried to bite my dog through a chain link fence, very aggressive and more than little frightening. I saw this and told the people, "Look, you can't bring this dog in. There's a sign right in front of you that says 'no aggressive dogs'. Do not bring that dog in here." Well, you'd think I just punched their grandma right in front of them! "Who the **** are you? I can bring my dog wherever I want! **** you, don't tell me what to do...blah blah blah." I stood my ground, telling them if they bring this aggressive dog in, I will call the police because I legitimately feared for my dogs safety. I mean, the first thing this dog did when it saw another was try to kill it. They kept trying to open the gate while I put food on it to prevent them from entering. Then all hell broke loose. The family was threatening me and my dog and then said they were calling the police. I said, "Go right on ahead." They did and as they were waiting for the police (about twenty min.) the whole time they were screaming at me, calling me every name in the book and then some. I just smiled, held the gate closed and waiting for the police to arrive.

When the 5-0 finally did roll up, the pit actually tried to go after the officer! The cop immediately told them their dog was too aggressive and told them they need to leave immediately or face a stiff penalty, including the dog being destroyed. They argued with the cop for a minute or two, and finally, in a sea of swearing and threats, peeled off, middle fingers in the air.

Some people are just too crazy to own dogs.

That's insane. I never understand people who are obviously in the wrong and will somehow try to justify their behavior regardless.
