IPhone on Verizon flops

I use Verizon and I plan on getting the iPhone. I think the major problem was the fact that there were no promotional deals for customers to receive one. Only people who were eligible for their upgrade were able to get the iPhone for the $199 price. My upgrade is in December, so I have some waiting to do. If they wanted to increase iPhone sales (and data plan sales) they should have allowed existing customers to purchase the iPhone at an upgrade price. However, if the video above is from an Apple store, one must also factor that Verizon stores also stocked and activated iPhones.
