Hollywood Reporter has gone viral due to Lewis’ testy answers and obvious disinterest. Earlier this year, Lewis sat down with The Times’ Mark Olsen for a somewhat friendlier chat, on the eve of the release of "Max Rose," Lewis’ first starring role in more than two decades. Despite admitting to being difficult, Lewis gave thoughtful answers to some questions — in between death stares.

My father had to work with Lewis every year and detested him. He would never say a word except "asshole," but after watching the
Hollywood Reporter interview, I finally understood why and sent the link to my little sister. So
that's why. What an ass.
