Yesterday, I got a voice mail message telling me that next week I have a doctor's appointment with my specialist.
The caller identified herself but whose name was garbled, she left a telephone number that I called that turned out not to be the doctor's office number.

Today I got another call from the doctor's office reminding me of the appointment. I spoke with the receptionist and asked when I allegedly made the appointment. She said last month. Well...the mystery deepened because I know I did not call for an appointment.

What should I made of all this? My question is how the caller had some information about me that only the doctor's office would know.
