A 900-horsepower electric utility van beat a Ferrari and a Nissan GT-R in a drag race

Hilarious.

The Chinese-funded company fitted its 900-horsepower, all-wheel-drive electric powertrain to a utility van to show off its performance capabilities. The van, nicknamed "Edna," is just a mule, Road and Track reported — but the underpinnings will eventually show up in Atieva's own future sedan.

In the meantime, you need something to compare that kind of power to, so the company lined up a bunch of cars, including a Ferrari 458 Speciale, a Nissan GT-R, and some Tesla Model S cars for a few quarter-mile runs. The result is pretty stunning.

Reminds me of what aeronautical engineers allegedly used to say about the F4 Phantom - "Even a brick will fly if you give it enough thrust."

I am thinking they also did some improvements to the suspension.
Enough horsepower, can make things go fast, but keeping on the road is also important.
