They look so incredible!

Whole worlds to immerse yourself in.

I know people who play video games who are not fat basement dwellers.

I predict that video addiction will be the next great epidemic, treatable with the same fervor and zeal as drug addiction.

I predict that this thread will turn into an Anti-Trump thread pretty soon and be closed...

...that being said these video games are awesome.

I'm currently doing another run through a f mass effect, start to finish. Great games. Had they been around when I was a young lad.....

Why, I might have never gotten laid.....

Yeah... but how awesome was Donkey Kong or later games when they were out? At the time they were the bomb.

In fact....I possit that awesome video games might actually be the ultimate form of birth control. Abstinence only DOES work!

Yeah, and you played them for...30 hours? You played them an hour or two at a time, and then did something else, because they got old.

To be fare, skyrim gets old, too....after your first manic 120 hours or so.

Ahh... I have never played one of these newer games. I played Counter Strike online back in the day and COD not-online now... so I guess it might not be comparable.

There were games in the 90's that people would play for a hundred hours plus. Also, for me some games just don't get old. For example, I played UT for a decade. :3oops:

My kid, nine-year-old boy, has a Wii, PS2, Xbox 360 and Xbox one, and literally thousands of dollars worth of games (several iterations of Skylanders, the Lego portal thing, the Disney portal thing, all kinds of games).

He plays, almost exclusively, a free downlaodable version of Minecraft on one of our old cellphones that still hooks up to the Wifi.

My prediction is that fat, old basement dwellers are the only ones who will be playing consoles in a couple years.

Parents will be playing the next generation of video games. Quality like this is too good to waste on children. Send the kids to play outside and have some quality mummy and daddy time shooting aliens and slaying dragons.

I don't understand. Why should parents be afraid ...?

I've always loved video games, but i've been a bit of a perpetual adolescent.

Same here... I have my PS2 in my kids room and my PS3 on the big screen. Love it.

Turn up the volume so my neighbours must think WWIII is going on in my house.

I'm a HUGE Mass Effect fan. Can't count the hundreds of hours I've played and replayed the entire Mass Effect trilogy. Am anxiously awaiting Andromeda! It looks great!

Any great game is truly great, if anyone can name it 10-20 years later without people saying what game is that. I played the crap out of donkey kong, super mario world chrono trigger etc on snes. Played doom and doom 2, quake and quake 2, wolfenstein, diablo and diablo 2 and the first two warcrafts on the pc until they could take it no more. I also rocked the ultima series especially ultima underworld which predated wolfenstein 3d yet was far more advanced in it's 3d engine.

Heck I always though that when quake came out it was the pinnacle of graphics that one one would beat, ofcourse a 486 was still deemed as fast then and a pentium as the fastest home processor.
