Hey I am looking for a legitimate part time or full time if the right position comes along online or work from home job. If anyone knows of legitimate and reputable company's doing anything other than sales please private message me with info.

Any questions just ask. I will try to answer.

Become a writer of short stories and other fiction. Or become a journalist. They're pretty much the same thing nowadays.

Funny you should say that... I have been seeing writing positions. I am however not a good writer. I was thinking more along the lines of phone support as I have an extensive resume in IT/IS up to an including phone and field support.

don't know any but I wish you the best of luck

you could maybe contact your local cable delivery places and see what their hiring policies are since IT is your thing

I know I've had to contact mine once for a stupid malware download I did. They did a remote in to my computer for three hours and cleaned out all of the virus.

Maybe they work from home I don't know. Just a suggestion.

Many of those types of jobs for IT and phone support have been shipped overseas. I take it you'll be voting for Trump this November or are you still stuck to the Meme of Trump only cares about Middle-Aged White people who lost their manufacturing job?

I am not voting for anyone for president, all the choices suck. Trump is a stooge. He was a Clinton supporter for years and now is trying to give her an easy win. I am not down with that nor is this thread the place. This is about reputable work from home, not the presidentil election.

Well I have a job now, it just keeps me tied to one location. I am thinking of moving so a work from home job would be less hassle.

I now work from home, but not at home, as a self employed handyman. That skill/service seems to be in demand everywhere.

Yea handyman does seem to be in big demand. I work in a gated community and we have them coming and going all the time. Unfortunatly not my skill set. Good on you though!

Sure, but I'm pointing out that one of the presidential candidates has advocated bringing the type of work you're looking for back into this country. Maybe if our politicians weren't focusing on off-shoring our jobs you wouldn't be having such a difficult time now. Just an fyi the next time you hear "Trump is appealing to uneducated white voters who lost their manufacturing job".

If you want to talk about the presidential election go to that section. I don't care about Trump or his lunacy. Next time you hear this is not the thread... listen.

I see what you did there.

Well done.

I have dated two women that worked at home. One was an IT Specialist who was trained by the company

and the other is a Medical Coder, of whom I married. She is in the home office coding now as I write this.

Medical Coding only takes about 4 months of training.

Don't listen to those schools. You can be on the job mush easier without them. The Medical Coding certifiers have training classes at their web sites, along with practice cert exams. That is all you need to be job ready. Forget all of the stuff the schools say you need. They only say that so you will give them more money.

The only piece of paper you need to be a Medical Coder is a cert from one of only two agencies.

If interested, I can give you a link to the agencies and their training classes. All on-line too.

I also did a face palm at that post.

You are merely asking for so assistance and ideas about working at home, yet somehow or another, POLITICS got squeezed in there anyway. :naughty

I don't get why people want to inject politics into everything. It does get old fast.

Re: Work from home positions?

PM sent with both cert agencies.

She says you can make $100k a year or more and right now there are 10 jobs for every one person.

She got back into it after a ten year absence, got recertified, and has been at it for about 3 years now and is making over $65k.

Moderator's Warning:
So here's a friendly reminder to all to focus on the employment topic.

Definitly giving it a serious going over. This may be just the ticket. Thanks again.

Yes the competition for those jobs are harsh and they are contract many times. I am looking for some security in the job as well.

My wife has been very happy since getting back into it.

She said the main reason there are so many job openings is because it takes a whole lot of "attention to detail", and you also have to be certified by one of the two agencies.

This means some extra effort has to go into getting the job, and why so many are open.

It is not that it is all that horrible to do it, it is just most people want something that is POOF, here ya go.

or they get suckered into the long costly "training" the schools say you need, and get disheartened.

If I was not already comfortably retired, I would do it too.

As a humorous side note. That one lady who is doing IT work at home now, said she also tried working as a phone sex operator, and was even assigned a trainer. She said there were four lines they could call. Black woman, barely legal, Domination, and regular phone sex. She said her trainer would take the calls and they had a notification as to which line it was, and this lady could bounce between each one with ease.

She could talk like a black lady very easily, then talk like some silly teenaged girl in the next. Once she said they got a call on the domination line, and the other end was silent. After a moment, she said, " GOOD!, you know to only speak when spoken too "!

It was an education listening to her relay what she learned, but after a couple of months, she had to stop. She did not have the flexibility.

I know I could make a million dollars at it, if there was a market for straight men to do it.
