Frickin fracken pop up ads...

Should be like night and day.
looks like a marked improvement! I had always had a popup blocker on but wasnt aware of the Adblock Plus. Thanks again.

Popup and flash blockers are fun, and are so effective that Google has tried to petition Mozilla to stop their users from installing them.

As long as Mozilla stays open source I can't see them giving in.

don't feel too bad. at work, i have to use an expired version of internet explorer for everything. if you think ads piss you off, try doing that for a couple days.

Good gawd, I'm so sorry. Lol.

Hell, even an up to date IE is horrible. .

I gave you a 'thanks' out of sheer pity.

NoScript is a nuclear option.

Tell me about it.

Pop-up ads are back in a major way. Those and animating ads have completely circumvented my adblocker plus and any browser native pop up blockers. Websites are also blocking people with ad blocking software and vpns as well. It is truly a dark time for the rebellion.

lol. thanks, guys. doing anything with that browser is like trying to run a sprint on a quicksand track.

The other great thing about noscript is seeing how every goddamned website ever has hooks out to various trackers and advertising content networks.

Have you gone into AdBlock Plus options and turn off "allow unintrusive ads"? If so, have you tried uBlock? I've never had a problem with AdBlock Plus, but apparently uBlock is very good as well.

As far as website who block people with adblock software, I either disable it long enough to load the page and then re-enable it or I simply don't visit the site. If they don't want my business, then fair enough.

Try https://www.admuncher.com/

It's free, it's none intrusive, and works with all browsers.

It parses and interprets the HTML stream that the browser gets before it gets it, and disables a bunch of that crap.

Been using it for years now.
