It took the passing of the great David Bowie to get Gina to throw up an avatar without shoes. I'm really surprised that we cannot see David's shoes in the image.

Will wonders never cease?

I truly considered finding one with his shoes, since he is a fashion icon. I also considered black heels with "Bowie" over them, but I liked his smile in this image, so much more and any shoes. Too bad it's so small it's not more prominent. :(

You're welcome. I thought it was the best, not only of what I found online, but on its own.

I forgot to add, that since his music meant so much to me, I wanted to note his passing. The red heels were not working for me.

Though I must admit, I have in the last year used other symbols of news like the rainbow flag and French flag, instead of my usual shoes.

I like shoes. :) I seem to have a lot of pics of red shoes in my files, too. ;) They attract my attention. I just am not feeling it right now.

Silly over someone I never met. I know.

You don't have to know someone personally to mourn their passing. If it hurts, it hurts.

I've been a fan of his for decades. I, too, was unnervingly saddened by his passing. He was one of a kind.
