...when the scene was still active? I could swear I heard that . . . But have heard nothing since.

Anyone know?

They apprehended a guy, but I haven't heard anything else about it.

ditto. Not a peep.

That went silent quickly.

A Ms. Sally McGee called in the 911 emergency and was the first one, and SHE SAID she saw 3 people dressed in black and hooded.

That was only reported in the first few minutes, after that nothing was said.

Thanks. At least I know Tom and I didn't make it up. Funny the press identity ask about it at press conferences. I'm wondering if Homeland Security doesn't have him under suspended civil rights...

He is probably being waterboarded as we speak.

:D

Possibly so

I guess it could have been some whacky love triangle thing.

They have at least two people in custody - the third person you were asking about, and the guy that bought the guns that were used in the shooting (which was announced/confirmed today by the ATF - FBI said that the gun buying guy was not under arrest at this time). One of the reasons they don't put these guys under arrest, is they do not have to read them their Miranda rights until they do. As long as they are being detained and in custody, but not under arrest, the FBI and ATF don't have to worry about a lawyer getting in their way of questioning the guys. Of course, nothing they say to the FBI or ATF prior to the Miranda warning can be used in court against them. It can be a good time for the cops to get info on other people involved.

The police detained a third suspect who was seen fleeing the scene of the shootout. Since then, the police have unequivocally stated that there were only two shooters though they may have had help from others (they don't know). My guess is that this third person taken into custody was some guy running away from a **** storm though it could be someone who was involved and the police are playing it close to the vest

The mother in law with the baby is conspicuously missing and out of communication.

That was a news flash today on CBSN.

It may have been a burglar caught up at a bad time and place or it could have been anyone with a fear of the police -- remember that a lot of natives run when they see cops.

It could have been an illegal alien -- California is loaded. They always run even if nobody is after them.

I saw that too where the police busted out the side window of the mother in law's car to look inside it. Maybe she is just trying to avoid the media.

There are so many unanswered questions here. No one has said yet what the argument was at the Christmas party that caused him to leave in anger.

For the life of me I can not understand how a mother and father can just leave their 6 month old baby like that. It means that we may be approaching some point where someone puts a suicide bomb in his or her's baby's diaper.

I hope the FBI is able to recoup information from the damaged cell phones and computer.
