Men Castrate Yourself And live longer

okay, here's how i came across this.

i really enjoy the show, Penn And Teller's Bulls***. Basically it's a show that aired on Showtime from 2003 to2010 and it was a very controversial show because it explored, well, things that were bulls***.

So I finally found some of their DVDs and got them, and the last episode i was watching was about the Fountain Of Youth, or how people have an obsession with looking younger and the cons they fall for. so, one guy who was very much a con artist flat out claimed that if men got themselves castrated they could live much longer.

That really upset me and I thought it was a crap claim.

So I just did some searching, and apparently I was wrong and there is SOMME merit to the claim, and I found a few articles like this:

Historical Korean eunuchs — men who had their testicles removed in order to secure high positions in the palace hierarchy — outlived their non-castrated counterparts by as much as 20 years, the study finds. The results will be published tomorrow (Sept. 25) in the journal Current Biology.

In animals, castration tends to lengthen life span, likely because male sex hormones aren't great for the health. Testosterone is an immune-system suppressor, for example, and can also increase the risk for cardiovascular disease.

it may be something to consider by one's 50s. but as a 23 y/o ?

If there was a history of testicular cancer in your family then this might make sense for you.

It's the same for the ladies who have uterine cancer running in their families.

once in a while i'll even hear a comment like "Look at that ****ing retard walking down the street." and to make sure I do look around and sometimes i will see them pointing at me.

Next time it happens you should own the situation and have fun for yourself, despite them. Next time someone calls you retard hunch your back. Start screaming "ESMERELDA!!!!!!!" over and over. And pretend to be pulling on a rope to a giant church-bell.

Lol, there are certain dietary practices that lengthen life spans too, but for me the central question is over quality of life, not quantity. If I can't do what I want and be who I want, what is the fundamental benefit of living longer?

I would rather gain 80% of the health with 20% of the sacrifices then go for 100% of the health and be miserable the entire time.

The answer to those situations is to develop your personality to the point where people may not find you attractive on a purely physical basis, but they want to be you for everything else you are. That is within your power to do. You can best those people if you really want to by investing in yourself.

I was very late to bloom. For most of my life, I was ugly as ****, and it wasn't until my late twenties that my body grew into itself and I became average looking. I responded by learning how to be a leader and doing things that made me so happy with who I was that people's opinions simply ceased to matter. Right now, my fourteen year old son looks at my attitude about life and he wants to be that way but is having trouble understanding it himself. Self confidence breeds charisma and will make people be your fan, want to support you, and help you because that charisma bred of self confidence will bring them pleasure to do so. People tend to want to share in something they deem to be awesome, so that they can feel awesome in association.

I have read enough of your posts to believe you have the raw potential, go find ways to be awesome in your own mind and let that light shine forth, people will stop messing with you. Also, check your posture if people are making that mistake, shoulders up and walk with purpose. People who are mentally handicapped tend not to do that and people will notice. Something to investigate at least.

I did that one time and they got so scared i damn near ended up in jail.

If I'm not mistaken testosterone increases the stress placed on cells. If I'm right about that then it seems reasonable to say that decreasing that stress should decrease cellular decay and thus life expediency.

But whatever -- ever since 1953 people have been changing their own genders. This is nothing new.

Well, they do get themselves castrated, so it's not entirely out of bounds.

I like my balls right where they are and I fully intend to continue using them until death do us part.
