Are there rules in the UFC that prevents women and men from fighting each other? if so, where can i find them?

Thanks.

Below is a basic introduction to UFC rules.

Rules and Regulations - Unified Rules and Other MMA Regulations

There is no direct rule on women fighting men, there is however implied rule based on "Weight Divisions." Meaning stipulations on what qualifies to fight in a given weight division, and for now "Bantamweight" is defined as a separate division from "Women's Bantamweight."

The only way out of this is the provision of what is a weight class per the rules is something that "Except with the approval of the Commission, or its executive director, the classes for mixed martial arts contests or exhibitions and the weights for each class shall be..."

There is give for these weight classes to deal with fighters that miss the weight range per division, but at present I do not see anything that talks about women and men fighting within the same weight class. Hence their separation, even at the same weight range.

To further illustrate the implied value of UFC rules, there is a separate section of rules for women related to protection equipment.

There is a gender challenged person in the female division.

I don't think there is a direct rule, just an implied one.
