Found this little gem on FB. Thought I'd share.

“It must be incredibly frustrating as an Islamic terrorist not to have your views and motives taken seriously by the societies you terrorize, even after you have explicitly and repeatedly stated them.

Even worse, those on the regressive left, in their endless capacity for masochism and self-loathing, have attempted to shift blame inwardly on themselves, denying the terrorists even the satisfaction of claiming responsibility.

It’s like a bad Monty Python sketch:

“We did this because our holy texts exhort us to to do it.”

“No you didn’t.”

“Wait, what? Yes we did…”

“No, this has nothing to do with religion. You guys are just using religion as a front for social and geopolitical reasons.”

“WHAT!? Did you even read our official statement? We give explicit Quranic justification. This is jihad, a holy crusade against pagans, blasphemers, and disbelievers.”

“No, this is definitely not a Muslim thing. You guys are not true Muslims, and you defame a great religion by saying so.”

“Huh!? Who are you to tell us we’re not true Muslims!? Islam is literally at the core of everything we do, and we have implemented the truest most literal and honest interpretation of its founding texts. It is our very reason for being.”

“Nope. We created you. We installed a social and economic system that alienates and disenfranchises you, and that’s why you did this. We’re sorry.”

“What? Why are you apologizing? We just slaughtered you mercilessly in the streets. We targeted unwitting civilians – disenfranchisement doesn’t even enter into it!”

“Listen, it’s our fault. We don’t blame you for feeling unwelcome and lashing out.”

“Seriously, stop taking credit for this! We worked really hard to pull this off, and we’re not going to let you take it away from us.”

“No, we nourished your extremism. We accept full blame.”

“OMG, how many people do we have to kill around here to finally get our message across?”
ISIS terrorists are telling the world exactly what they are doing and why they’re doing it. They are killing “infidels” in order to try bringing about a world Islamic caliphate.

Why not take them at their word?

Reminds me of the Confederate Flag argument:

"This flag stands for slavery!"

"No, to us it stands for people standing up to federal oppression"

"That's not true. Everybody knows the Civil War was all about slavery, and you people want to bring it back!"

"No, the Civil War started when the north tried to impose economic sanctions on the south."

"History says it was all about racism."

"Then why were their black people fighting on the side of the south? Slavery didn't come in to the picture until Lincoln needed a way to end the war."

"Nuh uh! You're all about a bunch of racists!"

"But southerners were already freeing their slaves before the war started."

You get the point.

I can't even begin to point out the mountain of bull**** in your second post because there's so much of it.

Yeah... cuz you were there. This is a thread about the folly of liberal revisionism and you showed up just in time. But we are also in the lounge, so let's keep this light. Perhaps you would like to post something along the same line.

Actually it appears to me to be a thread about RWers confusing imagination and reality.

Right, and I'm sure because YOU were there my version of history is revisionist and yours is the truth

Also you gotta love the argument of "They told us that's why they're doing it, so take them at their word!"

I mean, insurance companies are telling me they care about me and my family. I'm sure they're in the insurance business because of their infinite compassion and nothing else.

And if you're going to argue that "true" Islam is at the very heart of Daesh's ideology I love how you've conveniently left out the fact that the vast majority of their victims and the people fighting them are also Muslims. But let's not let facts get in the way of a good old "Muslims are evil" narrative.

The confederate flag stands for losers. They lost and never rose again.

Are the autoworkers trying to establish their own independent state?

No, but they are doing the work that used to be done in the liberal north by union workers.

...so nothing to do with the Confederacy or their dumb **** flag. And the automotive manufacturing industry is in general leaving America for various reasons.

Tell that to all those people building BMWs, VWs, Hyundais, Kias, Mercedes Benz, Toyota and Honda cars here. Did I miss any? Oh yeah, Tesla.

The last sentence from the Muslim terrorist in that conversation should read...

"wait...you arent gay are you?" followed by a prolonged scream ending with a sound similar to a coconut dropped from a tall building.

What does this have to do with that loser flag? The Confederacy is dead, automobile manufacturing isn't going to change that.

I don't care about the flag. I was 32 when I moved here. Pretending people from the south have changed just because the whiny media and their followers blamed a flag instead of the sick bastard who shot 9 people doesn't change that. It just proves that they have no real answers and will distract from the real problem to advance their agenda.

What is the point of this rant again? You haven't countered anything about the loser flag being a loser flag. Sorry, the Confederacy lost and never rose again, their battle flag is the flag of the losers. There's no such thing as the Confederacy any longer. It died. It lost and then it died.

Nothing to do with automobile manufacturing or this new tirade. Just a statement of fact.

First off, a flag can not win or lose anything. It's a piece of cloth. The point of this seems to be you wagging your ass in the face of people who do not accept your views of what you think their symbol actually means to them in favor of your own opinion. It makes you look like a petulant schoolboy. Or girl. However you identify today. Didn't bother to look at your profile. You said the confederacy is dead, I live here and I can asure you that people who have lived here much longer than I have don't agree. But if it makes you feel better, go ahead and put everybody in a nice little box and carry on with your biased and linear thought process. None of them care and neither do I. As for the auto industry, it is alive and well here, much as it used to be in the north before greedy unions and years of liberal management ****ed it all up and turned cities like Detroit into third world cities. This is what liberals do. They drive wedges between people, blame everyone else, profit, and then blame the smoking crater on others while they pretend to be decent human beings. And when they get called on it, they LAUGH LOUDLY AND POINT at those who disagree with them thinking they can shame them in to silence. Good luck with that.

You can not agree all you want, but all the States belong to the larger Republic. Not one of them obtained independence and formed a different government. The Confederacy failed and died and never rose again.

No amount of automobile manufacturing will change that. But let’s look at your automobile claim. Here is a list of all current automobile manufacturing plants in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_automotive_assembly_plants_in_the_United_States

So in this list, which States were in the Confederacy? Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. The rest were never part of the Confederacy. Missouri and Kentucky never seceded and their formal governments maintained allegiance to the Union. So let’s add up the numbers

Union/Not Confederacy: 31
Confederacy: 13
Total: 44

So currently, the old Confederacy, which is just part of America now since they lost and never won their independence, has about 30% of the automobile manufacturing in America. Michigan alone has almost as many manufacturing plants as the entirety of the now defunct Confederacy. So no, it doesn’t seem like the manufacturing plants are streaming out of the North.

But again, all this is moot because no amount of automobile manufacturing will ever rewrite history such that the South won. They didn’t. They lost. Their battle flag is a loser flag. FLBL.

People are free to fly it, I would never endorse laws against it. But it is as it is. The south lost. They never rose again. They are still, to this day, part of the Republic. I don’t care how many people think otherwise, history is written and measured. We know what happened. And what happened was that the Confederacy lost. The Confederacy died. And those States that tried to break away were bound back to the Union. Enjoy the flag to your heart’s content, fly it as you see fit. But it is the flag the losers used.
