Imagine there was a new world discovered (not too far away) with exactly the same laws of physics and all other things remaining equal but a new international / multinational society could go there and create laws or a constitution by which all men and women who go there could live and agree governance. There are no brand new beasts or diseases beyond what we could take there.
What laws and elements of a constitution would you like to see?
Should (any) religion be brought over across space to this new world? Why?
Should there be laws or any limits on self protection / Why? (Should we allow guns / weapons and what limits if any?)
Should there be any form of philosophy of a society? Should it be every man / woman for themselves?
What inalienable rights should people have? Why?
How and who should pay for those things usually seen as society costs? (Education / cleaning / local government / health etc) Why?
What system of government should there be? Why?
What system of penalties or law enforcement and how should this force be armed (or not) and limited? Why?
Thanks in advance: to explain the premise, I read a lot of threads and see a lot of "cultural baggage" when people are discussing certain things and I sometimes wonder whether a different perspective might allow people to review their long held beliefs and views.
